This isn't newsworthy. No recent activity in negotiations has occurred. He is getting tagged unless he changes his mind on how much guaranteed money he will take (my opinion.) I think he wants 30 mill guaranteed ("it's about respect") and the Cowboys are around $24 million.

So we are talking $114-130 million dollars and he is saying he wished they love him back as much as he does? Does he even care if we have a team around him? No matter what others get paid on other teams, that is a huge amount of money.

If true, the Cowboys media guys and Mike Fisher would be reporting it also.

Let's relax on overreaction.
It is quite probable Dez wasn't taking about money at all.
His next posts were about all the rumor and pot-stirring nonsense.
No one in the Cowboys camp was doing anything to shut it down.
He may very well have felt it was leaked.

It's also possible Dez has no idea what the exact numbers are. He has an agent negotiating right now. He's getting he info the agent gives him not attending negotiating sessions.
Tho Jerry has done that in the past and it may end up going that route at some point soon.

1. I'm not sure if you are agreeing or disagreeing with me in this reply.

Mike Fisher has reported that the Cowboys had extended an offer to Dez as far back as late October, and in response Dez fired Eugene Parker.

2. Did I post an article?

What part of the "this is not pointed at you" did you not understand of my post?

is there anybody we can get that is better? If not, I can't fathom why we would want a guy who scored 16 TDs to not be here.

Same question i asked still waiting on that answer. I dont see how we are going to replace 56 TDS in 3 seasons with a rookie or a FA but hey, to each their own

Need a very good reason or this is a bannable offense. I don't currently have the power to ban, but I will find a way, sir.

Maybe he is upset that Dez didnt just go down after making that catch in GB. Is that a legit reason?

I think "the roc" isn't doing any favors to the cowboys and dez if this true.

I hate that he signed with them. I mean I get it, but it's a culture thing , and a status thing amongst His African American, 19-30 year old, multi-million dollar peers. He wants to be a brand, and a major part of the popular hip hop culture scene. I just wish he would have waited until he was signed first.

If a deal was about to get done and Dez switched agents....shows you how close to getting done it actually was.

Sounds to me like Dez's agent liked the deal and Dez didn't. Maybe he got a tad too greedy? Kinda looks like it.

The years and guaranteed money would be my issue honestly...not sure it's the total amount. We all know that grand total means nothing in the NFL.

Dez is still young enough to see another deal after this and I'm sure a 10yr deal is too lengthy if you want to see a third deal. Tyron being so young when he entered the League plus the position he plays can risk signing a 10yr deal. Tyron will see another deal after this one because lineman hit their prime at 30. Dez is right for rejecting an agreement of that length with that minimal (relatively speaking...read "in sports and entertainment dollars) amount of guaranteed money. Surprised if Eugene would have actually ok'd a deal like that in the first place...sure that is Jones family spin about how close they were to getting it done. If Parker was ok with it and I advised Dez...I too may tell him to pick an agent who isn't as "cozy" with the team.

Just my thoughts...

Listened to Sir Barkle, Dez. Get off social media. It's only hurting you and showing your immaturity. Cowboys want you back, fans want you back.....your posting only antagonize your supporters.

July is a long ways away. That's the dead line not March 2! As Charles said, you can't complain about $13 million playing a game.

I think you have to be very careful with Dez and Murray and the salary cap implications.

We can not continue to keep being $10-20mil++ each year with our contracts with dead money.

We have to build with youth and keep the contracts to 4 years and be prepared to replace key players with draft picks and affordable FAs.

All you have to do is look at the Patriots for how it's done.

We have come full circle from where we were and must be conservative with the spending so we can continue winning long term.

I say..if Dez and DeMarco need to leave..let them go.

I love last year and they were huge in the outcomes, but we have other players other than Murray and Dez we need to sign and while it would change the team if either of these guys go..

..I think the present coaching staff can deal with it and some players will step up at WR and RB..

in the case of them both..neither guy played all that well for the first 2 years of their old 4 year deals..

..and a great deal of both of their success has been the rebuilding of the OL and revamped coaching staff..

..not necessarily their individual play.

So make them a reasonable offer and let it go.

And save the money and get ready for the draft.
