I like Freeman a lot more than Orton. Freeman has shown flashes of brilliance. In 2010 61% completion with 25 TD's and only 6 int's. The kid has a lot more upside than Orton or Tanner or anyone else we have on the roster. That would be my reason for doing it.
I have no objection to acquiring him as long as it is off waivers. I would not sacrifice a draft pick nor cap room just because you like him. I'm funny that way.

I don't even particularly like him. I just think he has a lot of talent that will probably be wasted due to his attitude. Unlike a Jamarcus Russell, this kid has proven he can play in the NFL when he has his mind right. I don't think my liking him or not liking him will determine what the Cowboys do :) Nor do I think your desires will rule the day either... I'm funny that way :)

actually your not, because you state I just think he has a lot of talent that will probably be wasted due to his attitude and you want him to come here? Why because if he fails in the NFL, and he has, which is why hes being benched and instead of being a man hes crying to run away from the problem, so knowing the evidence you either think hes better than what we have, or you think by some miracle our coaches can get thru to him? Keeping in mind we dont use 3 qbs, where would we put him OR are you assuming we will give up KO *not kevin ogletree* for him?

Not funny, hopefully not serious.

Lol he would prolly only start at Jacksonville and they don't want him lol

in this you are correct, and thats where the serious side of the post ends, we both agree. I am thinking tho "who not if im the Jags" they certainly dont like good qbs anyway.

Actually I'm not what? I don't even know what that statement refers to? I've already stated what I think, you disagree, absolutely fine. As Hos stated, and I agree, I don't think what I think will make one bit of difference in what the Cowboys actually do. The smiley face doesn't mean funny (as opposed to the laughing emoticon), it simply means, don't misunderstand me not to be friendly. I'm not mad. Hopefully no one in the thread is. :)

Like that is a real option for him now.

Of course it is. Maybe not this year, but for SURE it is an option.

Look at some of the starters around the league. Even though there are more good QBs than ever, there are still some pretty average ones out there too.
See Jacksonville, Oakland, Cleveland, etc.
I have no idea if he would be any good, but surely someone out there sees upside to someone with such a big arm and that is so young.

Heck no they won't. I hate Kickers. Damned if we don't have a couple of them on the roster and tried out another today.

Hilarious, and a total deflection from the point I was making.

Yes, a guy going to the bar on a Friday before a game lacks heart and competitiveness.

I guess Michael Irvin came up short in those areas as well.

All I know is, the guy has been productive and successful in the league. A change of scenery could do him well. If he came to Dallas, and the Cowboys didn't give up anything other than money for him, I wouldn't have a problem with it, so long as the expectations are clearly laid out for him.
LOL

Listening to someone on the radio is that way of knowing whether someone has heart or competitiveness? Really?

Freeman being out on a Friday night partying is also an example of not having heart or competitiveness? Was Michael Irvin lacking heart or competitiveness? Because he partied more than anyone, and those were two qualities that he didn't lack.

I swear, people are funny with this stuff. I have no idea whether Freeman is lacking in those areas. I do know that he has had success in this league (look at his play in 2010 and 2012). I also know that he was inherited by Greg Schiano, who may just want to have his own guy (Mike Glennon) playing instead. Freeman hasn't played well this year, so he opened the door to this change.
Are you kidding me? freeman hasn't played well in 3 years...
In fact freeman has only had 1 good season out of 5? So Freeman's ineptness is due to Schiano? Really? The rest of his so called stellar seasons were with Raheem.. Freeman shows no dedication to the game. He doesn't study film.. He has been known for not knowing the playbook... He doesn't show up for mandatory meetings and has been late for practices ?
For you to compare the work ethic/ heart and dedication of Irvin to Josh Freeman is a complete joke and quite frankly an insult. Sure Irvin may have partied . But he knew the playbook.. He practiced his *** off.. He had more heart in his pinky than freeman could ever had.. Freeman is a joke.. Why would we want his garbage anywhere near the cowboys..
Research some quotes ... Talk with Ian Beckles... And other local Tampa insiders ... Freeman is in need of a heart transplant... This is more than just an observation of seeing him at a club or listening to him on a radio show... This is fact
Just because you are not aware.. And can't see the obvious .. Doesn't mean it isn't so
