Come on, Jerry, you know Parcells woulda given a third for those guys.

I do think Fasano was worthless, though.

Sometimes even we laymen can see awful draft picks.

Nah,he woulda given a third for Fasano, but Jerry insisted he take Akin, too!

Damn, I forgot about Hannah. Weren't there some glowing reports about him during last years' camp?

About the only thing I know is I think he's tall.

My first reaction is that it is a bad trade. A fourth round pick??? Come on. Fasano was a second round pick. True he didn't play much but he had an all-pro ahead of him. What does everyone expect? This was a ripoff trade.

If he catches that goalline pass against the Giants, maybe he'd still be here. Good Lord what a stiff. No more NJ meatballs, please.

Dallas trades Ayodele, Fasano to Miami for fourth-round pick

NFL.com

Looking to get back into the fourth round of this weekend's NFL Draft, the Dallas Cowboys on Friday traded linebacker Akin Ayodele and tight end Anthony Fasano to the Miami Dolphins for a fourth-round pick, reports NFL Network's Adam Schefter.

The Cowboys traded their own fourth-rounder to the Tennessee Titans earlier in the week to acquire cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones.

Ayodele, who was Dallas' starting weakside inside linebacker for the past two years, lost his job when the Cowboys acquired seven-time Pro Bowl linebacker Zack Thomas in free agency.

Ayodele signed a five-year, $17.5 million free-agent contract with the Cowboys in 2006 after spending the first four years of his NFL career with Jacksonville. He was fourth on the team in tackles last season with 95.

Fasano, a backup to Jason Witten, caught 14 passes in each of his two NFL seasons. He had shoulder surgery in January.

Besides Fasano not being anything better than ordinary, I wonder if they had some concerns about his shoulder. Pretty sure that it got messed up at least twice... And shoulders can become chronic very easily.

Meh, the good news is that there are a lot of guys in that area that I think could be good players. That could be a Keenan Burton, an Ahtbya Rubin, a Brian Johnston, a Dexter Jackson.

If he catches that goalline pass against the Giants, maybe he'd still be here. Good Lord what a stiff. No more NJ meatballs, please.

I hope he doesn't forget the fagioli.

Jerry should have told Bill that Fasono is his mistake and owes us at least a 3rd for Fasono alone.

the pick is essentially a 3rd with the pats losing their 1st rounder

right now we have 5 picks in the first 100 and that is pretty good.

I am sorry to see fasano go. I imagine he did not fit what garrett wanted in a tight end and they feel there is a number of the tight ends in the draft that do.

maybe they feared his shoulder injury. I dont know.

I do know we have some quality picks this weekend and that our team is going to be one of the younger teams in the league next year with 6, 7 or 8 new players coming in as rookies.

you have the 3rd round compensatory picks though also so that really is not the case.

Could be, either scenario, but one thing is for sure. The thought that we will pick at #22 and #28 is not reality.
