I’d be more upset if they actually brought him back. He priced himself out of town. This is what happens in the NFL. Teams have to know when to move on. Jerry and junior are clueless in that department.

If Pollard signs for 3million or less s year I might say the boys missed out. But otherwise they are better off drafting someone. Rb is just one of the few positions you can find a starter deeper into the draft or really cheap in free agency you should almost never pay big money to one.

Pollard isn't expected back. Murray went to Philly and we were fine. You can't franchise Pollard again, and I'm not convinced he's earned a long term deal.

If he goes to Washington, he's walking into a really bad offense after he failed to produce in a really good offense. I'd respect his decision if he did, but familiarity with Quinn probably won't be the reason. He didn't know Q took the Washington job until a few days later when it was brought up in an interview. Doesn't sound to me like they were very close.

Draft a RB, sign a vet for insurance, and ride with Dowdle, Davis, and Deuce as depth. Exactly what we should've done last offseason.
Technically, we ended up drafting Zeke the year after to play with Romo. And the OL is nowhere near where it was when this was happening. We had the best OL coach in the business.

So Pollard is out on the curb on garbage pick-up day and he's getting "stolen"???

This is the old Jedi mind trick that works oh so well when it comes to Jerry. He will panic and sign him to a massive 5/100 contract soon..

3 years, 15m, club option on the 3rd year or look towards the draft

If this happened, this would be a serious gut punch to the Dallas Cowboys and leave them without a starting RB to start this 2024 offseason.

Should Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys find a way to keep Tony Pollard?
No, let him go. Unless he’s going to sign for much less.

He’s probably not starting material and definitely not worth the 10 million we shelled out.

Pollard was a nice complimentary back.

If Tony Pollard accepts $5 / year to stay in Dallas...

And Derrick Henry decides to come play as a part-time RB for $5 / year...

Would you take that deal to get both in a Cowboys uniform?
Yes - this is best case scenario for us because it puts TP back int the spot where he excels and brings in a between the tackles bruiser.

No concern at all........ a matter of fact, there are at least 2, maybe 3 other RBs I would sign over TP
Man, I swear some of these articles are just looking for clicks. "Steal" Tony Pollard, there isn't 1 fan on this board that wants Pollard back as the team's primary back.

Dude your posts about DQ and Washington are becoming tiresome , maybe it's time for you to change teams and change jersey seems like you're a big fan of Dan Quinn and all the losers that have caused or at least part of the problem last year they're leaving and you're somehow thinking we can't do well without them....

FYI nobody here thought Tony Pollard was going to be here in 2024, nobody wants him back, he was an overrated $10 million running back that should only be used as a backup... he is basically a tweener the man needed to be utilized as a third down change of pace back or at least not the first option,
he's a dime a dozen guys like him in the draft you could get in the fourth round just like we got him, why is this a big deal ???? especially the fact that you believe everything you read as if everybody who leaves the Cowboys are now going to Dan Quinn and somehow we had one of the worst run games in the league you're gonna blame the offensive line and you're gonna blame the play caller but no Tony Pollard is not up to a #1 running back level and it does not empty our room that's the bad thinking that got us a $10 million backup running back this year they were afraid to allow Dalton Schultz Ezekiel Elliott and Pollard to leave all in the same offseason so they kept him in two our detriment...

By the way maybe you don't know this but the running back room is the easiest one to rebuild in an offseason you can go into the draft to get your new #1 you can get a mid-level guy for $2,000,000 or under to do what Tony Pollard did last year.. Swift only made 3mil last year tony 10 they had similar stats.

And to reiterate like I said at the beginning of this everyone is ready to move on from pretty much our entire running back room it's a year or two too late because of thinking like this you're scared it's gonna leave a hole at running back just about any running back we'd have brought in last year that had any tell it all could have done what Tony did..FACT

the fact is he barely surpassed what Ezekiel Elliott on one leg his last two seasons did here and everyone wanted to run him off because they thought he made too much money for what he was bringing how is that not Tony Pollard last year you can't even get the touchdowns you know hard it is to get 12 touchdowns in this league it's so hard that fans thought it was easy if you just moved out Elliot that Tony power would instantly get those touchdowns and you know what he did not neither did Rico neither did anybody else on this team part of our problem last year on offense was being one-dimensional because we hardly had a run game it barely had a heartbeat we're probably ranked like 16th in the league and running and you want that guy back hey let him go to Washington....BYEEEEEE!
