Im not off the Dak wagon yet. After last year I have some serious concerns though.

I think the coaching staff needs to understand what they have at QB. He isn't Romo. Don't give him so much responsibility. Let him be a bus driver. Just manage the game. We need to get better on defense and be more conservative offense. Run the ball. Find ways to get the ball in Dez hands.

Bryan Broaddus tweeted that Dak has problems in practice with his accuracy. He tweeted that he was a well-known poor practice player, but justified this by saying he had a 13-3 in record. These tweets were made last off-season. Remember, Kellen Moore had the starting job when Romo was recovering from surgery until he also got injured in training camp.

Dak is known for his poor accuracy. 13-3 was an anomaly overall...

And then 2017 happened.

When I went to Oxnard last year, I came back and reported to the boards that Dak wouldn't even make the team and Showers would be the back up. He was that bad.

I also predicted they would win 11 in 2014 and I predicted they would win 12 in 2016. And I didn't like the team going into the 2015 season. Laugh all you want! The jokes on you!

I think Dak could get a ring and these same people will discredit him and try and replace him because he's it as unpredictable or exciting as Romo was.

On a lesser scale, I seen people do it wo with chris Jones...everyone initially felt he sucked because not he didn't no have McBriar's leg.

I don't put all the dislike for Dak on comparing him to Romo. I think there are a lot of fans who are genuinely concerned that his accuracy wasn't as good as the year before, that he had more turnovers and fewer TDs, that his yards per pass was 6.8 and he couldn't connect with Dez downfield and that he didn't lead us back to the playoffs.

I think there is some legitimacy to those complaints, but this is the same QB a season earlier who completed almost 68 percent of his passes at 8.0 yards per pass and put the ball in jeopardy very seldom. So I think just putting Dak down as a bad player discounts what he did in 2016. We need more evidence to see who he is as a QB, especially when so many other factors come into play that can have an effect.

If that was a disaster then what was Romo's career? He and Dak share the same accomplishment of not getting to a NFC championship game.

I compare Dak and Romo, as they both have their own flaws. But, both receive too much criticism for the franchises failure to get deep into the playoffs or get to the Superbowl in the last 20 years. I feel like Romo got too much blame at times, but so does Dak. And benching Dak while keeping Garrett as head coach would just leave the next Cowboys QB in the same situation that Romo and Dak has been in as far as them receiving so much blame for the team's failures.

Some accuse others of being Dak "homers". When they are just as bias for wanting Romo to come back.
