I posted those stats to shoot holes in their so called arguement. A RB has many factors to deal with: how good is the O line at run blocking; how good is the play selection so that the D does not figure out what play is coming; is the turf slippery so that cuts are not possible; and so forth. the video mentioned pretty much destroyed any arguement that he does not have vision or is unable to make people miss. The stats I posted show that even the best back in the game would be considered a failure if the same stats that they use to run down JJ are used for him. then of course the playoff game really obliterates their arguement since its late in the season- and his biggest play that set up the FG attempt came on his 20th carry- a 35 yd gain.

that was nice but lets put together a video of the bad runs that have cost us drives , games ect. anyone have a song that long? throw some clips of parcells in there and the o-line since it was their fault.

He was not allowed to show what he could do by his head coach.

He may very well be much better without Parcells insistence on having a robot for a RB.

It will definitely be interesting to see how he does if Wade will just let him run.

He still falls down the first time he is touched. Parcells didn't *make him do that*. I don't want him. I would rather try another unproven back. He had three years and is a failure in my book.

You're misapplying the information to an argument that doesn't exist.

Noone is saying Julius sucks because his average declines at 15 carries. They're saying that he doesn't deserve more if his average is just going to drop. Comparisons to LT are pointless, and illustrate nothing for or against that point. Noone is arguing that LT needs more carries.

The playoff game was GREAT! Sign me up for that Julius Jones from now until forever. Unfortunately, to get that production back, we had to cut his carries down to about 10 per game for the final 6 games of the season.

THESE are the stats for LT this year
carries 16-20 62 for 377 6.1
carries 21-25 35 for 111 3.2
carries 26-30 12 for 40 3.3
carries 31+ 1 for 2 2.0
So clearly LT wore down after 20 carries.
Though its interesting to note that in his rookie year JJ was doing 6.4 yds per carry on rushes 26-30; and in his second year carries 21-25 avg 5.0

thats an average of 4.8 yards per carry after 15 carries. that is why LT is elite and JJ is a change of pace type. hanks for proving my point.

As I said, I have not lied about one thing, and yes, you DID admit to being a niner fan. There are several posters from that era that I can find that will attest to that.

Youre right those averages included carries 10-15 it was late and I had just finished solving a bunch of ODE's.

HERE is the link to his splits and the numbers for 2004. The numbers for 15+ work out to 54 carries for 190 yards. As I initially stated that is 3.5 yards per carry.

Gee, interesting how certain facts are ignored by NYC, FUzzy, Prophet and company. Depending on the year, LT's YPC average STANK at 16-20, 21-25, or 26-30. So your stats - which by the way I countered showing JJ doing well in other years at carries 16-20 and 21-25 just totally destroys their arguement- are as usual cherry picked.

His average up to 20 carrie s was lights out unless you think 6+ YPC is average. Thoose were also the lionshare of the 15+ carries for LT.
