As I said, I have not lied about one thing, and yes, you DID admit to being a niner fan. There are several posters from that era that I can find that will attest to that.

What do you have against a knife collector? I know hundreds of them.
Well you're LYING about that. I don't even know where you dreamed that up, bro. The 49ers? I hate the 49ers. You're mistaking me for someone else, yet you're convinced you're right. Pitiful. Why would anyone have a knife collection? Must be a strange bunch. Remember that time you admitted to being an Eagles fan? Philadelphia Randy.

Bring on all your witnesses. LOL. That should be great, a group of people recalling an event that never happened. Leave it to Philadelphia Randy.;)

I don't think anyone has yet mentioned about the playoffs...

22 for 112 5.1YPC

Based on the haters' logic, shouldn't it have been like 22 for 44 with a 2YPC since he gets so worn down?

The 3.5 ypc subsumes that game. You cherry pick while Im looking at everything.

Just because you say things often and loudly, it doesn't make you right. I'm not pointing to 2004 and saying that we should give the ball to Julius 30 times and we'll have the 2004 back yet. I'm only saying that that stretch gave a lot of Julius fans the idea that he can and should handle a 30 carry load.

Burmfrd's done a nice job of pointing out that you're looking at a subset of a RBs statistics and probably coming to a wrong conclusion. There are reasons why ypc might go down dramatically at the end of each half that are entirely dependent on game situations and the defenses being played and have nothing to do with a back wearing out. There *is* such a thing as a good 2 yard carry.

If I can get 30 carries for 150 yards in a game, I'm not too sure I'm concerned with the average after 15 carries anyway.

Anfd my point is that perception is wrong. If you give Barber those carries over 15 then you will get overall better yardage.

Has MBIII ever carried more than 15 times in a single game?

Like? Name some names?

Read my posts. I said I would be ok if we drafted someone else and I didn't really care who. To keep trying the same thing over and over again expecting to get a different outcome is the definition of insanity.

Ok... so ANYONE can rush for 1,000+ yards.

1,000 yard RBs dont grow on trees (is that better than LTs dont?)

If you choose to play that silly game, you just go right ahead and see how many posters you can dig up that will back you up and say that I was ever a Philly fan, while I see how many remember you saying you were a niner fan. Do you really want to go down that road? Didn't think so. Liar.

By the way, I collect knives for the same reason any collector collects anything, I admire the craftsmanship, the time, and the effort it takes to make a simple, yet amazingly versatile tool that can be beautiful and perfectly balanced. I dabble with making a few myself.

Now, why do you ridicule knife collecting? I have asked you many times and you have never said why. Let's see if you will on this board.

Again. What does this have to do with trees? What does this have to do with anyone? This has to do with INSANITY. Jones doesn't cut it. Next. Last time I'm going to say in this thread.

It's not clear what you're saying here.

If you're saying that Julius should be limited to 15 carries and all over that should be given to Barber, well....that's KIND of what we do now. Except that we don't stop Julius at 15 and turn it over to Barber - we give Julius the first quarter and the start of the third, because that is when he is freshest and best. So it's clearly making the most of the cards we have.

If you're saying that Barber would perform better getting 15+ carries himself, I have to say that's hardly a statement you can definitively make.

well...23 players DID rush for 1000 or more yards this season. Injured McGahee and part-timer MJ Drew nearly eclipsed 1,000. As did injured Shaun Alexander, Corey Dillon, and Cadillac Williams.

I'm just sayin'...it ain't THAT big a deal.

How many running backs are there in the league?

Its safe to say less than half had over 1,000+ yards?

Might not be that big of a deal but its nothing that should be overlooked so easily.

I figure that there are a couple of guys on here who used to post over there and remember him saying it. After the fact, he tried to say that it was his sister, (or maybe it was his sister-in-law) that was really the niner fan, and he would just pretend to be a fan when he was around that part of the family.

Anyway, I didn't mean for he and I to get in the way of this thread, so, I am done with him for now.

well, there are 32 starting RBs in the league....you can't take ALL the RBs into account because a guy that has 40 carries on the year can hardly be expected to average 25 yards per carry.

WOW

I just watched the video and it proved what I've been saying time and time again. If anyone touches JJ (more than just grazing him) he is down for the count! All those long runs in that video were because he wasn't touched!

Jerry, bring in the next running back please! My grandmother could have run through those gigantic holes with her walker and made more yards.

So, what was that I saw when he powered through for the TD's with someone draped on him, by your proclamation he never scored them if he was down for the count when he was hit. Why don't you watch that video again and see that he did score those, and many times was tackled by 2-3 guys.

Since you mention YPC... JJ had a 4.1 and was 18th in the league in rushing yards.

All I am saying is that is I will take 4 yards a pop any day of the week and twice on Sundays.

Unfortunately we being Cowboy fans were spoiled by #22.

How was this place when Troy Hambrick was our starting RB? Must have been anarchy in here.
