Defensively Dallas belongs in the Super Bowl, but the offense is suspect

The offense, on the other hand, looked suspect and out of sync. Dak had that deer in the headlights look. He was ridiculously over throwing his receivers.

Your thoughts?

Have we not been one of the highest scoring offenses over the past 5 years? The weather wasnt exactly ideal for throwing the ball.

Lets wait till after next week until we crucify the offense.

I personally think our offense is gonna light it up this year. Cooks will definitely open things up for us.

Really I mean I can I can like roll with half that statement it should not be put on Prescott I've seen Roger and Troy have hundreds of games like this period end of story their stats look like Baker Mayfield but everyone said it didn't matter because it's a team game and only wins matter..

But now here's what I have a problem with really it's a lipid test for Prescott do you know how many times we've lost to Aaron Rodgers because of the defense or because the special teams bobbled the ball or we missed a field goal seriously you're already saying that if we lose the game it's on Prescott before you even see the reasons why?? Are you trying to tell me in the 2016 playoff game against Aaron Rodgers that Prescott didn't play well are you kidding me he thought offense outplayed their offense except for our defense choked.. same thing aaron rodgers last year p....a 14 point lead in the fourth quarter that was on the play calling that was on the defense that was not on prescott. it's his litmus test against the jet....t this straight capital letters TE AM...

With the down pour rain. Not one fumble or interception. I'd actually give the offense a good grade today. I think this offense realizes they just need to not make mistakes and the Cowboys will win a lot of games.

Honestly, if the Cowboys offense just stays in the top 15 in scoring and limits turnovers they will have as good of chance as anyone in the league to win a SB. This defense is just good. They looked faster then even last year. Pretty scary for opposing Qb's.

NOPE! this is a team litmus test..... Actual fans with football IQ understand this and don't blame the quarterback this is a team litmus test against Aaron Rodgers and a loaded jets team at home let's see where these big bloated heads are at from beating New York when we have a home opener against a good team.. If we lose this game because of a special teams issue or a defensive issue it will be from me blamed on the proper people..

I think it was a game played in torrential downpours at times. The ball was wet and slick. I think the 2 dropped TDs definitely affect people's perception of how Dak looked. The dropped first downs had same effect.

In those same conditions Dak threw a grand total of zero interceptions.

Sample size is too small with external factors impacting (rain and 1st game of season) to say what the offense or defense is. Question is the D as good as it looked or was the Giants offense as bad as it looked...or a combination of both.

Give me 4-5 games and you can get better perspective of what this team can be.

I believe the defense will fall back to the mean this season in terms of yards/points allowed. It's tough to have a truly dominant defense in today's passing era. But they need to keep averaging 2+ turnovers a game. The offense will need to become elite to go far in the playoffs. The formula is a great offense + a defense that will get takeaways.

Yeah. I feel like last night's game was a trap game (in regards to the offense).

Yeah its crazy, the were very effecient even with the conditions.. thats what this defense needs, an offense that drives the ball and score points... we dont need "The greatest show on turf" with this defense.

give them time and reduce the rain. Dak hit their hands.. I don't think there's a problem. Good Oline.. Great receivers.. Good RB... TE' debatable but too early.

Defensively, we're great.. we didn't need to air it out. Just protect it and don't turn the ball over.

if i could like it twice i would have

i dont need pretty...i need effective....idc about stats just move the ball get points and punt if you need to

idc about 100 yard rushers, 300 yards passing...make the 3rd down and 4 pass for 4 yards and keep the drive going
