If you go back and look at the game and the Pittsburgh game, you will see we had success running in other formations outside Shotgun.

Also, as I stated, we played the top 2 defenses in the NFL back to back and that has to be taken into account.

Yeah we had success, because Garrett decided to actually consistently run the ball. But he's too stubborn to do that game-in game-out. I mean think about it. How many times does Garrett come out 1st and 10, and try to throw downfield, incompletion, run on 2nd and 10, 2 yard gain, and now its 3rd and long. It HAPPENS EVERY DRIVE.

Garrett is horrible at taking advantage of match-ups...

Hell, the Cowboys use to exploit the weakness of Deion Sanders in the 90s... They knew their opponent...

He stated that he was told that the Cowboys run the most banal and simplistic offense in the league.

He also stated that Ray Lewis told him that he was very confident that he could stifle the Cowboys offense because of this simplicity.

No kidding. I'm not even an NFL expert, player, or coach and I was able to call out the majority of their plays before they even ran them tonight.

Garrett s ucks as an OC. Plain and simple. He sucks.

Crazy thing is Garrett was the front runner for their head coaching job but Jerry convinced him to stay here. Boy should they thank Jerry.

I think Romo would feast on defenses in a West Coast offense...

I remember some posts about how Romo had such an incredible release, it was ridiculous... His ability to thread it into tight places has always been praised..

I don't understand how Garrett doesn't try to get him in rhythm... His INTs are usually when he isnt in rhythm, and he tries to hard to make a play...

all the things Romo does well, Garrett doesn't ask him to do

that he's still putting up good numbers is a marvel, although he's been pretty bottled up lately

funny thing is that all of us would have freaked out had Garrett left and now looking back it would have been the best thing that could have happened to this offense :bang2: how things change... :bang2: :bang2: :bang2:

Agreed. He doesn't use any of his talents right. He's like the Brian Stewart of our offense. Let Ray Sherman call plays. He probably has a better idea.

Romo would have won another game with his incredible scrambling ability. Dallas has no semblance of an offensive gameplan and has won 9 games purely due to talent.

think if they were running slants on those plays, probably have a better shot of catching it and running them for TDs

esp. Austin

that guy would kill teams on the slant

Which is what I have been saying all along... every play that is made by this offense is when Romo keeps something alive with his feet and TO gets behind the coverage...

Garrett could not win with any pure pocket passer, because the pressure he puts on the offensive line with his horrible play-calling... All these long routes mean this brutal and huge offense line has to stand up all game long, instead of moving and bull-dozing forward.. our OL gets beat in the 4th quarter, when it should be dominating...

Did Ray Lewis also vow to go find the rightful murderer who just happened to look like him and be present in the same place that night nearly nine years ago on Super Bowl eve?

Sounds like your alittle pissed.

I wonder why we don't run slants. That was TO's bread and butter while in San Fran . . . and Austin would be deadly running slants.

because slants aren't called for in a vertical-passing offense

I think you are right. Unfortunately, I just don't know if this team will do any better with that coaching environment. Basically you would have a bunch of coordinators and no head coach.

Discipline is not this team's problem. Its coordination. Don't buy into that media crap.

When you say vertical passing offense, I think of Mike Martz . . . Is that what Garrett is attempting to run? Norv ran slants and he is part of that same offense coaching tree.

I hope Garrett is not trying to run that Martz style vertical offense. That would explain things. That offense sucks . . .

Exactly. Cover 2 Man kills the Cowboys. The Cover 2 was entirely created to kill the vertical passing game. That's all Dallas runs.
