Hardy come on down
Wouldn't hurt at this point.
Hardy come on down
Laughing at us why? Because we didn't want to baby sit him too? Really don't think anyone cares whether Johnny is laughing or puking his guts out.
I thought they changed the way this drug was classified? Orlando Scnadrick tested positive and was supposed to be suspended 4 games, then the NFLPA and the NFL reached some kind of settlement and his suspension was reduced to two games and I thought going forward it was going to be treated as a drug, not performance enhancing? Maybe this just isn't his first positive test?
I read about Richard Sherman and a few other Seahawks getting caught using it also. It said its now on the list of drugs you can use with a medical exception. This drug has become so over prescribed in our country. It's incredibly easy to get a script for it also.
I personally don't believe people should be taking it (except in severe ADHD cases). It loses effectiveness over time and needs increasing doses which can lead to heart and blood pressure issues. However, classifying this as performance enhancing like Steroids is just ignoring the real differences between the 2.
If Lawrence wants or needs this stimulant he should just get a prescription for it and stop throwing his money and career down the toilet.
This almost points to us grabbing Bosa, but then again, we may start the year with Bosa suspended too lol
Stimulant is a very broad classification. It's like classifying an 18 wheeler and a Toyota Prius as motor vehicles. Yes, that is true, but there is a huge difference between the two.Which levels?
Caffeine is also banned by the NCAA and in the same stimulant category as Adderall.
Any sports performance gains come from stimulating the central nervous system. Just like caffeine.
As bad as it has been with the DE situation with Gregory and Lawrence eliminating themselves for the first quarter of the season, and Hardy not buying into the team concept completely, the Cowboys cannot make their strategy based on fixing this issue with the 4th pick in a reactive manner. They will increase the likelihood of busting the pick by pigeonholing themselves.
At this point, I don't think that taking DE at 4 will be a good selection. I am not a Bosa fan. If DE was something that they want to focus on in the first, I would prefer trading down and getting Shaq Lawson if possible. It will be interesting to see what happens if Tunsil is available at the Cowboys pick, and the Titans call about a trade up.

Chemically, caffeine is quite a bit different than amphetamines. They act on different parts of the brain and trigger different chemical responses. Legally, they are quite different. You can't pick up a cup of amphetamines from Starbucks or McDonald's.
The point is, one is banned while the other is different. He should know better.
well this is kinda how last season started out with every thing else I still think this is a 8 win team if they are really lucky
Aren't there prescription based amphetamines for legitimate medicinal purposes?
sure, what better player for our young dopeheads to look up to?
I don't believe pain killers are amphetamines or have them in them. Pain killers are opiates in the same family as heroine. Amphetamines are stimulants like meth and Adderrall, Vyvanse ect. I read he went back to Boise St to finish his degree this offseason. Adderrall is a very popular and very available study drug used on college campuses these days to help students stay mentally sharp or focused.
My concern is that he tested positive 4 times. Once you hit that third strike and get fined 4 game checks and yet you continue to use a drug then it moves beyond just taking a study aid and into a real addiction.
Looks like Bosa is the pick.
As has been said before it takes a 4th failed test to get suspended, so there is no excuse that can be made for any of these players. I would warn both Gregory and Lawrence the next one and you are gone. Missing games due to injury will happen in this sport and not much you can do about it but there is something you can do about using weed or other banned substance and that is stop.
I thought that amphetamines were considered PEDs, which are an automatic 4-game suspension for a first offense. So this could be DLaw's first time (haven't read through the entire thread, apologies if this has already been confirmed/refuted).
