I agree, but answer this. If the Cowboys beat the Broncos and they are both 3-1. Which is better?

Broncos 3-1 or Cowboys 3-1? :D

If the Broncos record is inflated, how is beating them going to get us respect especially since you say their QB is a journeyman and their RBs average?

As I've explained three times already, defeating an undefeated and uncontested division leader on the road should provide the team with some momentum.

By the time we ascertain whether or not the Bronco's record is truly inflated, the Cowboys will be farther along in their schedule, and this game will be well behind them.

regardless of how you explained it, you still contradict yourself in the first post.

for me I could care less who we beat, a 1 point win against a crap opponent still equals a win

Traditionally, we have had problems with smaller, quicker lines. My hope is that with our improved depth at RB and WR/TE, we can force Denver to play an honest defense and spread them out a bit. If we can make their LBs honor the short to intermediate pass and the flats, we should be able to run isolated running plays at them and control the game. The key, to me, is to avoid penalties and force Denver to score we will win. Denver averages just under 21 points a game. If we can hang 30 on them, I think we can win.

If you expect Denver fans to be realistic then you yourself should also be. Saying you will have no trouble winning this week on the road in Denver isn't helping your credibility much. An interception for a TD with the 2pt conversion with 5 minutes to go sealed the game for Dallas otherwise you were looking at a 6 point lead with it being Carolina's ball. That was in your house against Carolina.....

Don't get me wrong as I am not bashing here but am expecting a great game. Whichever team establishes the running game has this one imo. I'm hoping that is Denver:-D

did you not watch the panthers game? the panthers had 4 3 and out's in a row before that interception drive. they were going NOWHERE.

On the one hand, you say confidence boost from beating a first place team on the road but on the other you denigrated the said first place team to the point that beating them appears to be meaningless.

It's not contradictory in the least. It's perfectly reasonable to assert that the Cowboys would receive a confidence boost from beating an undefeated, first place team even if that team loses its first place standing at some point in the future.

I did watch the game and never said Carolina was going to win it but the simple fact is Dallas did nothing much until the second half and with that being said, Carolina was still one play away from taking the lead prior to the Delhomme INT for at TD. That is fact....

You're right....I was nervous the entire game. But then again, I always am.

I think Monday was a good game for us. We had a lot of pressure on us and we were able to earn a victory over a good team. Yes, Carolina is 0-3, but they've had a tough schedule, and they're better than their record indicates.

We struggled the whole first half with stupid penalties. I felt we moved the ball well, and played nice defense. But every time we mounted some kind of drive, we killed ourselves.

This team woke up in the second half. And, yes....the Panthers were one TD away from taking the lead...and I was worried. But in retrospect, our defense controlled them the entire game.

I'm not sure what will happen on Sunday. Denver is much better than I expected. I know nothing about them really....But I do know that we have enough talent to beat anyone in the NFL. If we can stay away from dumb penalties (not likely) and turnovers, then I think we will win.

But I said that same thing before we played the Giants.

every game decided by 7 points or less is 1 play away from losing. what's your point here? you haven't really beaten a team unless you win by 12+? give me a break. the panthers were dominated that game. at the end of the day, they couldn't come up with a first down in the second half until the game was almost over and lost by 14 with a 178 yard differential. those are facts.

It's been said more than once in this thread that Orton is an average QB. Anyone care to name the 15 or so QB's you'd take him over?

Orton sucks. He's a a bottom quartile QB at best.

Romo is a top quartile QB.

That's where the handicapping of this game starts and ends. IF I liked the other 44 players the Broncos will dress over our other 44, I might give them a shot.

But I don't.

Anything can happen in any one game, so I won't make a silly guarantee. Just a 31-13 prediction.

OMT- Very good defenses eat up weak QBs. This will be a great test to see if we have a very good defense.

No. My point is that Denver is getting burned on these boards because we haven't beaten a "quality" opponent but are 3-0. Dallas on the other hand, is 2-1 with wins over teams that are 0-6. I am not seeing where Dallas runs away with this game. Especially since it isn't even at the Death Star...

I love how fans of every other franchise have something negative to say about romo.

I also love how everyone is an expert on the cowboys.
