Finally seeing the game from last night, he looked like the best RB out there. No way he doesn't make the team.
Agree. He and 20 are the 2 best rb's we have and it aint even close. Finally seeing the game from last night, he looked like the best RB out there. No way he doesn't make the team.
It looked like they were going to win the practice game with him in the lineup, then they took him out. Finally seeing the game from last night, he looked like the best RB out there. No way he doesn't make the team.
look when the argument comming in was "Well he may have gained the most yards and carried the ball the most times in his time at a P5 school, but he has not played in the NFL yet!" was the main argument it should've ended there.Agree. He and 20 are the 2 best rb's we have and it aint even close.
Fielding kicks, let us look back to a Dave Meggett comp, that was my first impression with the natural early reaction skills, no hesitation.I was thinking that his size would be a hinderance at fielding kicks until somebody here brought up Darren Sproles in terms of size and position ONLY….not comparing the two players ability at this point
Sproles 5’6 180 lbs.
Vaughn 5’5. 176 lbs.
Sproles returned kicks and Punts for the Chargers and Saints and in 8 season with them he only missed a total of 6 games so it gave me pause in thinking his size would be a factor in the return game…..perhaps these little guys are that much better in avoiding the big hits
exactly. Its just veiled hate because hes small. The guy has the advantage because he's hard 2 find. Then he has the elite vision and sweet feet that can't be coached. He is a unique weapon to have and we stole him.look when the argument comming in was "Well he may have gained the most yards and carried the ball the most times in his time at a P5 school, but he has not played in the NFL yet!" was the main argument it should've ended there.
Meggett was like trying to tackle a bowling ball that changed direction on a dime. Deuce is like that but has the ability to take it 2 the house any given play. I think Meggett was better in pass pro. I think where Deuce will eat mainly will be in the screen game. He will make defenses account for him, spread them out.Fielding kicks, let us look back to a Dave Meggett comp, that was my first impression with the natural early reaction skills, no hesitation.
it was and still,is ridiculous when they say that stuff.look when the argument comming in was "Well he may have gained the most yards and carried the ball the most times in his time at a P5 school, but he has not played in the NFL yet!" was the main argument it should've ended there.
PA RB screens will return to the Cowboys this year and Duece and TP are gonna hurt some defenses with it. he many times, had 2 carry the K state teams he was on. He was an every down back there. Why can't he be in the NFL? Many seem to take him for granted. The kid is tuff. A mini workhorse.Duece can carry the rock period anyone who has watched him knew this.. will he be a HOF RB? who knows he may flash in the pan but again based off what he has done comming to the league he has as good a shot as any RB to get the job done...he is not small he is short my god whay is this so hard to understand...
Be careful! Last week I was told that I didn't know anything about football for suggesting DV will be the 2nd best RB and end up leading the team in all purpose yards this season.Agree. He and 20 are the 2 best rb's we have and it aint even close.
That happened to me 2. Even the guys like Mike Fisher and many others were saying he might not even make the team. They were laughing at the idea that he can heavily contribute. Its just hatred. The guy is a game changer, always has been.Be careful! You act like I’m not pulling for him. I’m pulling for him just as much as you and everyone else who’s a fan of the Cowboys. For him to become one of our top two backs entering the regular season he’s going to have to get an opportunity against at least some starters and second string players in the first quarter. Even against the third stringers he got stuffed a few times. He only had 17 yards off his first five carries until he broke off the 26 yard run. You wouldn’t have messaged me had he not had that run. Lol Hopefully the Cowboys give him some opportunities against better players next week. Davis and Dowdle were going up against Jacksonville’s starting defense. If they don’t give Vaughn a chance against better caliber players the rest of the preseason, then he’s not likely to move up the depth chart.LOL - I'll let DV provide you an answer. But don't worry...I haven't given up on you yet. I'm sure you're not hiding under a blanket. I'm sure you're probably adding the final touches to your grand speech about DV playing against 3rd stringers. Please come back soon and share your football expertise!
those same people need 2 ask the Big 12 and ask Bama in the sec, what they think of Deuce after he torched them.Be careful! Last week I was told that I didn't know anything about football for suggesting DV will be the 2nd best RB and end up leading the team in all purpose yards this season.
Luepke reminds me of Mike Alcott from Tampa. A FB/RB combo. Wish we saw more of him yesterday.Deuce is the easy bet, I don't wager, but if I did, I would bet that Luepke makes the cut as well.
I have to say I'm a little disappointed. I was hoping you'd show up with some more machismo about your football knowledge and double down on your "Book It!" schtick. Oh well. I'll have to settle for your backtracking spin move. You act like I’m not pulling for him. I’m pulling for him just as much as you and everyone else who’s a fan of the Cowboys. There you go! This is what I was waiting for! So much for your rooting for DV angle. That didn't last very long! We’ll see if you’re still celebrating when he’s not one of our top two backs entering the regular season. Lol He was playing against third stringers, and at one point he had 5 carries for 17 yards.
