Uh. Deuce is a complete stud.
Beasley was 5-7...He’s not a guy that can play WR. He’s a 5’-5” RB with incredible open field quickness and elusiveness that’s great at screens and swing passes out of the backfield. He’s basically a more talented Darren Sproles. Time will tell if he’s as successful in the NFL.
I will repeat no 6th round draft pick that has not taken a snap in an nfl game is a more talented version of Darren sproles...you can spin it any way you want but that's not even remotely accurate nor fair to how talented an adversary sproles was
Vaughn had more rushing yards than any of the top 10 RBs in this draft.I'm warming up to this pick, big time. I think my favorite pick was Villiami Fehoko.. But Duece Vaughn will be a player for us.
He gives our offense a different flavor, and there's going to be a different game against San Fran.
I really like his ability to be a RB while also being a WR. In other words, we've got our own guy who can play WR and RB!
Might want to tap the breaks a bit. He’s not playing in the Big 12 anymore. Nothing against him; just saying…
Guys, stating he's more talented than Darren sproles is just flat out dumb...if he was he would have been a different prospect....Vaughn had more rushing yards than any of the top 10 RBs in this draft.
Vaughn had more receiving yards than any RB in this draft.
But then he ended it with time will tell if he's successful in the league.Guys, stating he's more talented than Darren sproles is just flat out dumb...if he was he would have been a different prospect....
I like the pick, I like the player but the comparison outside of some basic measurements pre draft is ludicrous
Let's put the anointing oil away for a bit....and celebrate the pick for what it is, but remember he's got a long way to go to be Darren sproles or even in the same breath as him.But then he ended it with time will tell if he's successful in the league.
Do you have any confidence they will properly even use Deuce? They typically never carve out for these guys.I'm warming up to this pick, big time. I think my favorite pick was Villiami Fehoko.. But Duece Vaughn will be a player for us.

I saw him too but hated what I saw, because he was shredding my Longhorns. Love this pick.seen him play on TV and loved what I saw
If DV ends up being a Dave Meggett type than we win with this pick.Let's put the anointing oil away for a bit....and celebrate the pick for what it is, but remember he's got a long way to go to be Darren sproles or even in the same breath as him.
That's all
I just watched every carry vs TCU, Oklahoma and Texas. Impressive...this guy is tough as nails and is not afraid of contact...often fights for extra yards and lives inside. The man is a beast not a gadget guy...he's the guy that can split the load with Pollard
Some of y'all need to watch at least highlights before you throw a player away
Meggett is a good comp but he is much more durable and a workhorse than Meggett was. Meggett was a change of pace and returner. This guy can do more at RB.If DV ends up being a Dave Meggett type than we win with this pick.
BTW, Megget had two inches on him at 5'7".
Sproles is the extreme comparison, and Megget being the base line.

You really gotta look at this guy's receiving game. It's underrated. I wasn't paying enough attention to him because of his size, but I think, at times, he'll also be playing some WR.Agree that guy has moves, one cut and boom.
I'm good with that...and just for facts sake my whole chain of posts was in reference to calling this kid superior to Darren sproles talent..If DV ends up being a Dave Meggett type than we win with this pick.

You're right. He's got moves. But I wouldn't limit him to just being a gadget guy. I think he can take Turpin's spot, and be an active player, weapon on offense. It's unconventional, but players like him have worked out before. The man is a beast not a gadget guy...he's the guy that can split the load with Pollard
