:lmao: You think Dez Bryant actually did work in college?
The purpose of going to College is to what? Get a good career, make lots of money.

Last I checked, he's done that. No matter how he got there, he's there.

Under Texas law, it is not up to the victum to press charges or to drop charges, it is soley up to the district attorney as to if he feels a crime was committed.

In other words, once the police were called and they saw visual evidence (bruises on the arms) of a possible assult, it was no longer up to the mother if charges were going to be filed.

Someone would have had to tell them Dez was reponsible, though, right? I mean, if they just came to the house after the incident, his brother could / should have received chagres too.

Having friends and family members hooked on crack cocaine is bad. It is even worse when the family member is your mother. She knows her son has money to spend on her habit and it will ALWAYS BE DRAMA.

The NFL tells its players to steer out of trouble and bla bla bla, but family members on drugs is a nightmare for those who live with them. They are asking for money for different things but in reality, it is to support their crack habit.

Dez may be trying to steer right, but he will always have drama in his life if he has family who are on drugs.

I've long been afraid Dez' family situation would be his downfall. This is why I never really had a problem with the Ireland questioning. When you draft the player, you don't just take on the player you take on his baggage. Bad family is even worse than bad friends, because they're harder to cut off.

I hate Stephen A Smith. The last two days he's been riding on the Cowboys hard.

And it doesn't need to be about drugs. What Dez went through to get this far in life would break alot of people. It's one thing to need to change friends or hang out with other people. It's quite another when its family.

You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about, obviously. Familiarize yourself with domestic violence and the dynamics involved. I'm not in the mood to educate you, but your post wreaks of ignorance.

On Ben and Skin, some lawyer lady on the show is saying for his class A, Dez could be seeing a year in jail for this. Also that class A is much more severe than a C.

So u think its smart for the law to be able to press charges if the victim doesnt want to? For a mionor scratch or bruise this guy could spend a year in jail? Cmon thats absurd

Sensationalism. A year for a bruise or scratch? What if she says it wasnt from Dez? Silly.

In most family or domestic violence cases, the victim will either forgive the abuser or family members and friends will lean on her to drop the charges.

And yes, depending on the circumstances, a minor scratch or bruise should put someone in jail. Better than than a body a few months or years down the road.

Oh, good lord. Is that what you think college is about? Not even remotely close.

College is about learning self-reliance, discipline, and accountability, because you're busting your butt at all hours and not getting paid BY YOUR OWN CHOICE. Plus, you're expanding your horizons educationally, socially, and otherwise. College builds character.

Money and career are a common result and certainly make it worthwhile later, but that can be accomplished without a degree for some people. The money comes from the fundamental changes and growth that the college experience provides.

I can generally tell a BIG difference between a college graduate and a non-graduate just in the general way someone carries and presents themself, particularly in job interviews. Night and day. They might be naive and dumb to the real-life aspects of the job, but they have the presence and tools to adapt very quickly because of the college gauntlet they chose to take on.

what he is trying to say is that many times victims of abuse are scared of the abuser and will not press charges out of fear even though they want to(that is a fact and not up for debate IMO)

it is a good law if applied correctly

Dez will be an all pro this season. Charges will be dropped. No suspensions. He will be balling against NYG in game 1.

For a scratch or bruise? They have to prove it. All his mom has to say it wasnt from him. So the law doesnt work anyway unless its obvious the victim was beaten clearly bad by the assailant.
