Who knows, maybe she cleaned up in the last 3 years after being involved in it well over a decade.

She served 18 months in prison after being convicted for selling crack cocaine in 1997. She was also sentenced to 10 years' probation due to an April 2009 arrest for selling crack cocaine to police informants in Lufkin, Texas, and being found guilty of two felony counts for possession of a controlled substance and the manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance.

---------

so, an addict is now just selling the drugs?
ok thanks for that info. i knew about this already but it never popped up in my head when the domestic dispute news came out that this was the cause of it. i'll let yall have a free for all with you imaginations.

Guilty or innocent it's hit the mainstream and this kind of attention sucks. Juicier than the other athletes getting in trouble because it's the Cowboys and juicier because it's his crack mom. Sucks that the rest of the team will have to deal with this now.

yep. even if he's found 100% innocent (albiet a bit tough at this point) the bad is all people will remember, true or not.

and that is why for the good of the team, I feel we need to come hard with a four game suspension and zero tolerance after that. That says to everyone that it doesn't matter who you are, where you were drafted, the role you play, or who we are playing, if you do not act properly, you will be gone.

First, there is physical evidence of assault. She may be junkie, she may even be a prostitute. That doesn't mean she wasn't assaulted.

Second, Dez is the one who would be served with a restraining order. She's telling him to get out of her house and he's not leaving.

I hate to say this because I'm in no way advocating violence but it's likely that it's his house that he paid for. He's taking care of her. She is a useless human being. I'm sorry but I have to say it.

according to her she hasn't done a drug in over a decade. this was a freaking domestic dispute. they happen thousands and thousands of times a day in this country. why can't we just leave it at that without jumping to all these asinine conclusions.

B/c drug addicts lie. It's what they do.

Yet, somehow nothing like this has ever appeared in the paper about Demarcus Ware, Miles Austin, Jay Ratliff, or Tony Romo.

It's so unlucky that it keeps happening to Dez.

Police did not immediately arrest Bryant because police saw no evidence of the assault. Evidence of the injuries, however, surfaced a day or two later, said DeSoto police Capt. Ron Smith during a news conference Tuesday morning.

Exactly pick your friends pick your nose, but stuck with family.

Not really. One shouldn't condemd themselves to that notion.

It takes a real mature adult to leave their disfuctional family alone, there is the pain of seperation to consider.

In the end, it has to be the best thing.

this has been proven?

Please. The whole "she is lying" deal is really immature. You think she wants to get her son -- someone who may be helping her financially -- in trouble just to be spiteful. The piece about her not letting him do this to her again and again on the 911 tape is pretty compelling.

It's a sad day when piecing the facts together is considered "gossiping"

There is physical evidence of something. It could just as easily be the fact that she went completely crazy on Dez and he just grabbed her so she didn't scratch his eyes out. A person has the right to defend himself. And now she yells to the world that her son "tried to kill her."

Let's see...known drug addict, habitual liar and her son has lots of money. Gee, did some of you ever stop to think that maybe, just maybe, she's just trying to establish grounds for a civil suit for a quick money grab so she can feed her addiction? Quit believing everything you hear without knowing a dang thing about it.

If she was dealing crack and had a history of use, then you can best believe she broke the #1 drug dealing rule....DONT GET HIGH OFF YOUR OWN SUPPLY...
