Dez Bryant arrested (911 Call-Post 847) **closed**

Bryant's attorney is Texas State Senator Royce West (who always struck me as a real life version of Clay Davis from The Wire). I believe there was a Dallas Observer Article that made some innuendo that Royce West pulled some some political strings to get Dez' mother probation after her 2009 arrest for crack distribution. It did seem strange that a second arrest would only cause probation when the first arrest brought jail time. I seem to remember that the Observer faintly accused Royce of using that as incentive for Bryant to sign on with their representative team (West as lawyer, Eugene Parker as agent, David Wells as "life coach", Deion as de facto PR guy), or maybe I was just reading between my own lines.

There is physical evidence of something. It could just as easily be the fact that she went completely crazy on Dez and he just grabbed her so she didn't scratch his eyes out. A person has the right to defend himself. And now she yells to the world that her son "tried to kill her."

Let's see...known drug addict, habitual liar and her son has lots of money. Gee, did some of you ever stop to think that maybe, just maybe, she's just trying to establish grounds for a civil suit for a quick money grab so she can feed her addiction? Quit believing everything you hear without knowing a dang thing about it.
:hammer: :hammer: :hammer: :hammer: Post of the day!

Please. The whole "she is lying" deal is really immature. You think she wants to get her son -- someone who may be helping her financially -- in trouble just to be spiteful. The piece about her not letting him do this to her again and again on the 911 tape is pretty compelling.

I'm starting to think you just like to play contrarian. You stroll into threads find the dominant stance and then go against it.

have fun gossiping in this thread about what happened that night, i'll wait till the facts come out. deuces.

you need to learn to read. I am waiting for facts. man, what a doosh you are. I only gave an opinion that he should break off contact with his family if a particular thing happened. I did not claim that thing happened, I did not offer it as a theory as to what happened. you are acting all stupid towards me for soemthing you are imagining, *******

Police did not immediately arrest Bryant because police saw no evidence of the assault. Evidence of the injuries, however, surfaced a day or two later, said DeSoto police Capt. Ron Smith during a news conference Tuesday morning.

And this supports your argument how? They had enough evidence to arrest him. Do you think she went home and beat herself up so she'd be all bruised up later?

Not really. One shouldn't condemd themselves to that notion.

It takes a real mature adult to leave their disfuctional family alone, there is the pain of seperation to consider.

In the end, it has to be the best thing.

I understand what you're saying but he is a kid. immature. hopefully one day with the right people I his life he can see them for what they are...( thats if there the problem. ) Theres his side his moms side and the truth.

and that is why for the good of the team, I feel we need to come hard with a four game suspension and zero tolerance after that. That says to everyone that it doesn't matter who you are, where you were drafted, the role you play, or who we are playing, if you do not act properly, you will be gone.
4 is more than a bit harsh.

1 might do the trick. Even if he's totally not at fault, to send a message that we can't have this kind of attention.

No, I'm just not a foolish person who thinks because she's a drug user or a certain color or a certain sex that she must be lying. 911 calls are pretty compelling because it isn't some sort of rehearsed dialog.

"Police said the Lufkin native grabbed his mother by the T-shirt, causing it and her bra to tear, according to police documents. She said he then grabbed her by the hair and slapped her across the face with his ball cap"

A ball cap?

BTW this ticket 1310 radio sucks. awful commentary
any other Dallas sports radio
The Ticket is the most successful AM radio station in the country in its target demographic, and second place isn't even close.

You have to understand the history of it to appreciate it. There is so much inside humor and discussion that the person just dropping in now and again is completely lost. That's the genius of it.

I never said she is lying. I am just waiting to find out the whole truth before judging, or acting as if she is spitting the gospel

guys, the bottom line is that none of us know the real facts of the case so lets stop with the speculation and hope for the best for Dez and his family (and the Cowboys :D )

My opinion? She's lying. Did he hit her arms away when she grabbed him? I'm sure, but in an argument that happens. If he was trying to kill her, she would be dead.

Four is the most we can give. if you go 1 you are pretty much suggesting that the next time, you might go 2 or even 4. Four says "that's it, here comes your last chance"

Every single stadium we visit is going to be all over Dez now. Slap you mama signs, taunts, etc. He has tarnished the image of the team.
