All of this for a misdemeanor. You'd think he is on trial for murder right now.

No, I don't like that poster's moronic insults. He likely was spanked as a child so he couldn't develop normally though

Yup i was spanked as a child, by my mom, step pop and roughed up by my uncles when i did wrong. I'm 42 years old and made it out of Camden NJ. I have a great job with one of the top 5 Gov Contractors and have worked for all the major ones since 1995. Did 8 years in the Army, have no criminal record, 2 biological children and a (STEP)son that has been with me since he was 2 I adopted at 10 and is now 17 headed to college. I have voted Democrat and Republican in my life AND I LOVE MY COWBOYS

SO THAT PROVES GETTING SPANKED AS A CHILD LEADS YOU DOWN THE TUBES....LMAO

Again, likely an angle the cops looked at and discussed before issuing an arrest warrant. Clearly they spoke to her on multiple occasions and likely witnesses as well

I'm sure they spoke to her on multiple occasions. When she was busted multiple times at least for drugs for sure. She's been "In the system" enough to know how to manipulate it.

Can you point to a pint in the 911 call where she says he hit her? All i heard was ripping off of her clothes (exaggeration) and pulling of hair. No hitting. So can you direct me to that point of the call?

I was referring to the piece where she tells someone else in the room that she's not going to let him do this to her again and again

Don't you know every man on the internet is 6'4 230 and can bench press a dump truck :laugh2:

Well I'll be the first to admit, I definitely can't bench a dump truck and I do have a little fat on me, not a lot, but a little. lol

Wow? Really? You do know there's been extensive studies that prove spanking has actually had a more positive impact on a child's development as a whole then not spanking right? Making a narrow-minded statement like that says a lot...

It sure does that why I said I would hate to be his kid....1 spill of milk and kid is grounded till he is 16 lol

Not spanking gives you the kids we have now. I'm not saying that you can't raise a kid without spanking because you can and when done correctly ot is more effectrove, but most parents just use it as an excuse to let their kids run amuck. They then blame everyone else for their kids problems.:laugh2:

Do what? Cut her off? Pull her hair? Pee in the front yard? What? Or maybe she is saying it for effect.

You've really gone frothing at the mouth insane.

I think you and most of the posters here need to separate what happened and what the police believe occurred (Dez being arrested for assaulting his mother) from what you really really want to be the case (her being a lying crack addict).

Yes, I want this to be untrue. But not enough to ignore the most likely explanation -- that he did, in fact assault his mother. You see, I can't just let being a fan of the team blind me to the most likely reality here.

if, if, if...point is you say online NOW b/c there are no repercussions for it. the fact remains if I were to tele-port you into a room with Dez this very second you wouldn't say a peep.

you say if, if, if yet you use "if" in your last sentence before setting up a scenario. i really can't take you seriously now.

I'm sure they had to talk to her multiple times to get the story on what happened. Evidently he initially threw a ball at her. Then later on it turns out he slapped her. Then later on it turns out he tried to kill her.

Wow, you think the cops would have worked through that, huh?

No, I think the cops arrested him because he turned himself in. They likely haven't worked anything through yet, I was just saying what it looked like to me. You know my opinion of the situation at hand with the facts that are available. I don't pretend to know the law or even understand it. I'm just saying what it looks like to me.

Whatever she said was deemed plausible by the police.

99 times out of 100 you -- and I mean you Cajun -- would find that reasonable evidence that the arrest was just.

He has probably been jumping in her behind year after year after year about her drug addiction....THATS THE ONLY REASON THEY HAVE ONGOING CONFRONTATIONS...TRUST AND BELIEVE THAT

He turned himself in b/c they issued a warrant for his arrest.

Duh.

Seriously. Come with better logic next time.

She said in the 911 call that "he's trying to kill me."

Come on, people. Put the crucifix away. Just like we said, he just needs to leave DeSoto in the rear view.

The police are not judge and jury. They only do what they're required by law to do. According to the police report, officers who responded to the 911 call from Bryant's mother did not observe any injuries and she did not complain of pain at the time. Then when she came back days later to a magistrate and showed some evidence physical altercation, and at that point there is nothing for the police to decipher. They are required by law to charge the arrest, and let the judge and jury sort out guilt and innocence. The fact that they arrested and charged him speaks to nothing as to whether she initiated violence or whether Dez was just trying to restrain her. So far we've only got one side of the story, and that's hers, and it seems to change frequently.

Of course! Everyone turns themselves in when they have an arrest warrant out for them. No one ever tries to run or avoid the cops.

Wrongly accused? You do know that the police likely investigated this to some extent before deciding to arrest the guy, right?

No they probably didn't. She went to a magistrate and told her story and he issued a warrant for his arrest. Most likely he got a courtesy call to turn himself in or they contacted the Cowboys to contact him. He would then be processed until a bond hearing could be held. Likely he surrendered with enough time for the processing and then quickly to the hearing.

Many of you certainly are quick to judge someone without knowing the facts.

It's very difficult to disown your own mother no matter the provocation. He just needs to keep his distance without completely emotionally abandoning her.

Dez is likely getting counseling via the team and he certainly needs to continue this for quite awhile. She is so dysfunctional she will pull him into the pit with her. While it's difficult one should remember that Dez was once her baby and she was once an innocent babe herself just like everyone here.
