You're dodging the question if a player being charged with assault isn't detrimental to a team than what do you consider detrimental to a team? Answer the question! The Cowboys went 8-8 in 2012 so who's to say it didn't effect their play on the field? We don't know what effect any of Dez's poor decisions had on the players on the team and in the locker room but we do no one of the teams leaders Jason Witten had an issue with Dez in 2013 on the sidelines that led to a shouting match that had to be broken up by Ware. Nothing any Cowboys player does is going to affect how many seats are sold or the Cowboys being one of the top franchise's in sports. Did Aaron Hernandez being convicted of murder affect how many seats are sold at Patriot games? My point is Dez needs to calm down and handle situations better than he did at those 2 practices.

Dude, anything that's a distraction is detrimental to ateam and there were a lot of things going on that were causing the Cowboys to miss the playoffs every year. I'm certainly not blaming Dez but there were distractions and coaching issues that we didn't see last season. We've seen better coaching decisions from Garrett, more maturity from Dez and a more disciplined team. Answer the question if a player being charged with an assault isn't detrimental to a team then what do you consider detrimental?

I just listed a bunch of metrics I would define as being detrimental. Did it effect anything on the field? Nope. Not detrimental. As far as keeping it going...I went to the game so this is the first time I saw all of your nonsense. Dez's actions have not cause a loss to the team, injury, or have damaged or harmed in any way. It hasn't effected us on the field and certainly has no effect on the franchise as a whole because the Cowboys are bigger than one player. A news story doesnt hurt the team unless it prompts the team to cut a player of Dez's caliber. That has not happened. You are unable to establish one metric of evidence to show a detriment. In reality when Dez isnt on the field in games or practice there is an uninspired performance leading to situations like last night. Without Dez, there is a detriment to the team cause there is a lack of passion and a considerable drop off in talent.

Any action by a player that takes away from the play on the field forcing Jerry and Garrett to answer to it is detrimental to a team because it's a distraction. Any player being charged with assault is detrimental to their team. It's hurtful for any team to have a player especially a star player be charged with assault especially against their mom. It could have led to a suspension.

How can an assault charge against a star player not be detrimental to their team? Is a situation like that not harmful to a team? Players have been released from teams due to assault charges. No one ever claimed Dez's actions caused a loss or injury but a player being charged with assault is harmful to their team because serious ramifications could result.
