While having a player with Dez emotion is welcomed it'd be nice to have all of the assets he brings without his obvious other flaws.

When I look around the league at some of the other elite WR we'd like to include Dez with talent wise I don't see these personality flaws.

Point is ; imagine the impact and influence a talent like Dez could bring without his flaws.

You know, the kind of leadership qualities and respect players of elite talent bring like Romo, Witten or a Ware even new respect of a Dak or Zeke. And why Dez is always going to be more scrutinized .

You cannot have all business-like players on a sports team because eventually, things will go wrong and you will have nobody there to change the atmosphere, provide inspiration, etc. Coaches can do that once or twice, but eventually it falls on the players to inspire themselves.

While you do not want a lot of highly emotionally charged players on your team, it is really good to have at least 2-3, especially across both sides of the ball.

I mean even someone like Kenny Gant and his shark dance had his role charging up the team.

It is really hard to describe what is OK and what isn't in terms of over the top behavior. There is a huge difference between Dez and Michael Irvin. It's like Justice Potter Stewart's quote about porn "I know it when I see it".

It's common knowledge around the DFW media that Dez has missed meetings and has been late to meetings often. The actual numbers are what is unclear.

Most media are certain that it's over 20 meetings, but the time-frame seems to be unclear. Some people have claimed 20 meetings in the past year while others claim that it's over his career.

Lol if this ain't some chatty patty gossip. "The official numbers are unclear" LOLLLLLL

thank you for your service

I agree .. If Dez was throwing chairs, using scissors on other players, etc. like Irvin did, I would think much differently about him. Instead, we have a guy that's all about the team which is wonderful.

Dez personality and behavior will be more acceptable to all fans once we are hanging banners much like with Irvin and Haley.

I've always said , we can lose with anyone but we can't win with just anyone . Unfortunately team success is the ultimate measurement .

It's easy to have a great attitude when the team is proving it can win without you.

I wouldn't go that far with a player who's held out after being Franchised or walking off the field .

Irvin was the undisputed emotional leader of those Super Bowl teams. Aikman, Emmitt, Moose, Woody have all acknowledged that. Irvin backed up his bravado. Dez has been punked by top CBs after running his mouth. He called Normal out of the lockerroom last year challenging him and then Norman easily won that round. He tried calling out Revis a few years ago and Revis won that round in a big way. Irvin on the other hand was one of very few to get the best of Deion and the only time Deion won was when he committed PI against Irvin in 94.

I really need to expand on his flaws? You have no idea what I'm referring to?

Not as it stands regarding his on-field contributions. As it has already been pointed out in this thread, he's a fantastic leader and great teammate.

His "antics" are media click bate and fodder for the sports round table. Like the ******* "Walmart video."

So, yes, please 'splain, Blues.

So you're comparing his play on the field, not emotions. The rest of us were talking about emotions and his attitude. If you want to discuss his performance on the field in games, then I suggest you focus on threads not entitled, "Dez's great attitude" .. since that's really a completely different topic.

Come on Trouty...You know Dez has many flaws.

Having said that, as they say "today is the beginning of the rest of his life". He could change his ways and might now that the spotlight has shifted to Dak/Zeke.

I wasn't referring to his on field contributions .

I already touched on it in above threads. I see no reason to continue repeating it. Figure it out:)

Or we can take this more personal discussion private if you like.

X, with all due respect, I just want to know what those flaws are, and how they effect the team. Injuries aside (if you want to call those flaws). People act like this guy is TO

What do you mean, private? And personal? We're talking about Dez, not my waste size.

And I must've missed your delving into his flaws. Can you please guide me to that thread?

Blues, I'm not trying to mess with you, you're a bud, I'm just sticking up for my guy :)

As none of us have never been late for work or to meetings...........more than once.
My bet is the majority of the American / world population has been late or missed meetings a good 20 times rather the past year or the past 6 years......but yet these same people want to hold it against players like it's a plague. LOL.
Oh, I've been late. Haha.
