Biggest difference is the commanders are not paying 50+ million a year for a player. They have 8 players with a cap hit 10+ million with 87 million left to spend where dallas has 6 players with a 10+ cap hit and are over the cap (according to otc). The commanders have a window to build around their cheap QB now where the window for dallas has closed.

Resign Osa and then take a DT in the draft, such as:

Round 3 Pick 76 Omarr Norman-Lott DT (Tennessee)

Omarr Norman-Lott is a 6’3” 315 lb defensive tackle from the University of Tennessee where he excelled under SEC coaching after transferring from Arizona State.

The Cowboys could use a rotation piece in their defensive line rotation, especially if Osa Odighizuwa is not brought back next season.

Omarr Norman-Lott’s game is reminiscent of Odighizuwa in the fact that Norman-Lott has elite first-step quickness off the snap, allowing him to penetrate gaps and blocking schemes before they develop.

Where is that going?

But moaning about no Lombardi is not where this team is running from, but still crying about not enough winning for personal amusements.

Not knowing where coaching is going now does one's sentiments for rewards in the playoffs, and is not analyzing, but self amusement. Blame someone for having sex on Jerry too. And it doesn't matter how many cheers one gets for that as well.

The only thing that matters. We've all known this is true but watching Washington win this year really provides all the evidence needed to prove it. At this point the only thing fans can do is wait for the Jerry era to pass. Hopefully the Stephen era will produce a real GM and a commitment to finally winning ON THE FIELD.
Their QB is a star, and that permeates throughout the team.

This looks the best change to this fan:

Johnson is one of the most creative offensive minds in football, and if he comes in as the next head coach/play-caller for the Cowboys, that creativity will put Lamb in another echelon. He has put players like Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jahmyr Gibbs, Jameson Williams, and Sam LaPorta in the NFL spotlight in Detroit.

The stars can be even brighter in Dallas, and CeeDee Lamb would shine brightest of all in Johnson’s offense.

You know that’s your opinion.
Then by your logic, some truly great qb’s that never one a SB are worse than Dilfer or Foles?

You do realize football is the ultimate TEAM sport?
Or maybe that escapes you since getting back to my original statements which compared Daniels playoff wins to Dak.

I think I’ve answered your question now if you cannot understand, then go get some meds. Or as your name implies, maybe stay off the stuff and you might think more clearly.

I actually agree 100 percent that football is the ultimate TEAM sport. I'm glad you mentioned that!!!

Because for some reason, that "ultimate team sport" comment always comes out in conversation for other NFL quarterbacks..... but when it comes to the failure of the Dallas Cowboys, it's always the quarterbacks fault. Just ask Romo and Dak.

People always say how Dak or Romo has this playoff record or this lack of success vs championship caliber teams.... yet Dak and Romo don't play defense, special teams, they don't block for themselves, they don't run routes, etc.

If it's an ultimate team sport for other quarterbacks around the league, then it's the ultimate team sport for EVERY quarterback, including ours. This is not boxing.

The quarterback cannot win games by himself. The quarterback can not lose games by himself.

You don't acknowledge the put down is your making and I explained some of the performance can be used to improve performances. You made a list and haven't shown how performance has compared beyond leaving out an injury marred season.

When an aspect is presented to show what is possible and loyalty aspects of the Dallas Cowboys franchise...people like you pick a non-mentioned side and start stereotyping and come with an insult.

I don't give a gosh damn if you like me or not. Don't just give a list with no specifics beyond one's own attitude and then not based on the football offered start insult.

Myself, I have posted lists of prospects and cap room is a major consideration for current team decisions...not your insults.

You stance was you felt that there are a lot of players were better. You proved nothing there and his place with the Cowboys is always relevant until staff change direction is formed.

You aren't required to like what has happened, but take your insult and shove it. I could care less.

You just type a whole lot of words with no substance or meaning …

here i will make you happy

Dak is the best and we have the best organization in the nfl and all our past success should keep us happy and satisfied forever without ever wanting more ….

good? also lol at your shove it remark … what are you 10?

I’m reading some of these posts and I wonder if some of you get it.

1) Daniels has more playoff wins than Dak and is going to his 1st championship game, Dak will never see one.
2) the Washington culture has players that will run through walls for their team and coach. That gets results… someone asked Demarcus Lawrence if he’s coming back… the answer was if they pay me!…
3) DQ has done more in 1 year at the helm of the commanders than the cowboys in the last 30 and counting
4) do any of you think the next HC is going to straighten the ship
5) Jerry is the problem… period he does not care win or lose… but hey keep going to the games, buying the merch and keep the cowboys number 1 on Forbes….
That’s all he cares about…

You want change? You want the cowboys to be relevant again?

Then remain fans from a distance, stop buying merchandise, watching or attending games… when the numbers go down and they will…
JJ will move mountains to get them back there…

Or do nothing and continue to share your views and opinions, knowing full well nothing will change and it will be the same year in and year out.
Oh and those of you hoping Jerry dies things will change… Stephen is worse…
We split with Washington and almost swept them.

Washington has a NFL team and have a sports entertainment enterprise,
Masquerading as a cash cow.

I actually agree with a lot you wrote, it’s true everyone on a football team has to do their part.

However, when your QB has that deer caught in the headlights look, a noodle for an arm etc…
I don’t care who his supporting cast is, you’re not going to win.

So getting back to my original thread, this kid Daniels has the same number of wins than the 60M man.
This kid is unfazed and has ice water in his veins.

Frankly would not be surprised if they beat Philly this weekend

Would you be ok if Jayden Daniels was on the Cowboys roster, made it to the NFC Championship just this year and lost, but not close again................but his rookie contract is over, market value for QBs was $70M, and Terry McLaurin, Luvu, Sansitril, Ertz, Cosmi and Dyami Brown were up for new contracts too? Now that's the real question.

yeah there is a difference between Us and Washington, we are legendary.

Washington has now cycled back up at least for this year.
Any other differences exist only in your mind.

I will admit this though, I have always been more concerned with them than I have ever been with the eagles or giants.

I am 60yrs old and have been a Cowboys fan all my life and the Commanders has always been more of a threat when they are good than the eagles have. Our games with them are legendary
We were legendary…

Now we are the league laughingstock’s because of our F/O and the country club culture that reaks through this team

Got news for you
Even though the league will adjust to Daniels, I think he’s a lot more than a one trick pony

I think he will do well, but you're definitely onto something. The league adjusts rather quickly, and he is a bit too frail before that one hit (remember RGIII). Don't wish harm but their offense is predicated on quick reads, though he does toss a good deep ball and the Football Gods have the ball & circumstances bouncing in their favor all season. I do think their franchise is in good order to continue on an upward trend though. This game is physical......can he survive?
