This is clearly not even remotely accurate to how snap counts and positions will breakdown during the game Sunday. This is MM trying to play BB games.
Okay.Official or not, I am not sure I buy the logic that somehow taking a veteran in Griffen and putting him as a backup DE somehow hides something from the Rams.
Lol, does that mean we should pray for a miracle?@Corso summed it up well. This is gamesmanship. Yet more disguising and disinformation wherever they can use it. Now if they can just get the Old Man to shut his cake-hole for five minutes...
Okay.
That wasn't what I specifically said, by the by.
Who knows what they would be, or not be giving away with that one single position. The post I responded to you said, that they won't give things away until they have to. What would they be giving away if they put Griffen as the starting DE?
Frankly, it would seem that in listing Aldon Smith as an OLB they might be giving away the notion that they could play some 3-4.
wow so Terrance Steele is the backup Tackle and not Knight? .I didnt even know Knight played Guard in Training camp.
Yikes. Terrance Steele is backup to both tackles. Double yikes
Many of your heads are exploding, but several of us on here have tried to explain that our 4-3 base is nothing like our old 4-3
In this base set, Crawford's spot is a 5tech it is NOT - a RDE. So yes, he is starting, and it is a very good spot for him.
But for those that hate Crawford, understand that we will be in this base for only about 1/3 of the time. My guess is that we will be in the 4-2 nickel more than anything, which will likely see all three - DLaw, Griffen, and Smith on the field at the same time.
The depth chart looks to be misleading on purpose.I don't think the depth chart listing is accurate.
They have Brandon Knight as the backup at RG.
Knight has practiced at OT for this training camp from my understanding.
The depth chart looks to be misleading on purpose.
Why would they put Ty Craw as the starting DE? That, I don't know, lol.
And neither does McVay.
I've been saying that since Page 1, my friend.Crawford was the starting DE in 2018, 2017 and some other years; however, he is obviously not going to start over Griffen.
They will play both 4-3 and 3-4 and Crawford would be a 3-4 DE while Griffen would likely be a 3-4 OLB; however, I think it really more about this list just being meaningless.
I'm disappointed if Chido couldn't take that spot from Brown or a rookie unless he's the nickel or a safety in this defense....maybe its about the position flex he has at playing all in the secondary. Chido can't be any worse than Thompson at free safety.
I'm thinking they're not saying who would be the other WR, or TE, or RB.Okay....so our Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator realize that there are 11 offensive starters and not 10.....right?
I'm sure this has already been pointed out.
Perhaps they feel as though there are going to be so many different formations that it really is 10 starters......and a special guest star.I'm thinking they're not saying who would be the other WR, or TE, or RB.
I like the way you put it!Perhaps they feel as though there are going to be so many different formations that it really is 10 starters......and a special guest star.
LOL, giving away what? Like what super secret would they be giving up if they put Griffen as the starting RDE?
