Was watching Monday Night Countdown and they were talking about Romo and the interception. Boomer went to the panel and asked "would you want Romo as your QB?". Keyshawn said absolutely and referred to Escobar running a bad route and the linebacker making a great play. Tom Jackson said he'd take him as his QB but was saying that Romo's stats didn't matter because the team lost etc. Ditka was real adamant and said that he would definitely take Romo as his QB and without Romo they would have been blown out yesterday! Anyone else see this?

Yeah. Keyshawn was grilling Escobar saying he rounded his route off and didnt come back. Romo put the ball on the money even though he was off balance and the linebacker made a diving INT.

It's about time people stop conveniently not mentioning the route was run wrong and Romo got interfered with by his own linemen.

Ditka traded an entire draft for a pothead and then posed for a picture with the pothead in a wedding dress.

Dude got hit in the head too many times.

He is also a in the HOF as a player and earned a SB ring as a coach. Dismissing Ditka's knowledge of the game and of players because he made a few errors (who doesn't) is inane.

Babe said that on the radio instantly, said Escobar did not run the route parallel or down the line like he should have and allowed the lb space to make the play.

Said that right after the live call.

Then he broke it down on the score.

A bunch of other players and coaches have come out and said the same thing today.
And then there's Golic and greenie with the Cincy goes tot eh Super Bowl if Romo is there...though Golic backtracked when they recalled that Cincy is in the AFC and would have to get through Denver.

Picture Romo on the Seahawks or 49ers.

Garrett just said that Romo was the one in the wrong on that play. Said Romo should have checked down to Murray.

That doesn't mean the route wasn't run incorrectly. If it was (as seems to be the case now), then yeah, he should have checked down.

I don't think Romo saw Murray. He had a bunch of linemen in his line of vision. Plus he was off balance.

The Air Coryell offense does not wait for the receiver to get open before the ball is thrown. QBs throw to a point on the field where the receiver is supposed to be. How the heck was Romo supposed to know that Escobar was not going to run his route correctly, or even come back to the ball?

Specious argument and I expected better, even from Garrett.

I don't think people are conveniently doing that. In fact, I said this early this morning but I think the problem is that regardless of the route, people have a problem with not throwing to the wide open guy in the middle of the field. I mean, that's pretty understandable IMO.
