If it makes you feel better, the Giants where pretty much in this position two seasons ago. Coughlin was on the verge of getting fired and their team was on the verge of falling of the map, but the Giants had a come from behind victory over the Jets that pretty much sparked their rejuvenation and propelled them throughout the remainder of the season on the way to a SB victory. Todays win wasn't pretty but it could be the season-changing victory that really brings everything together.

i've been thinking about that exact same comparison since the Denver game.. and the two situations are almost identical, hopefully the end result is too :crossed:

Yeah there are signs, for those of us with high enough football IQs, which honestly I thought you had Hostile, but if you don't see signs of trouble (ie. not making the playoffs) you clearly don't. The signs are by no means absolute but the penalties, turnovers, chocking, inability of a Defense to stop at the end of the game...all signs of a team going no where. Signs that this team has put out just about every week.

C'mon man. Didn't you know there are no signs? There is no broader perspective. There's no such thing as a "trend". Teams just magically reinvent themselves from one week to another. Teams like the Rams and Chiefs can make the playoffs as easily as the Giants or Steelers, because apparently you can't judge a team based on its performance, or something like that.
