Their stats might mean something if we got to play TB, Carolina and KC during every five game stretch. I guess stats don't take that into consideration.

You guys don't get it. The only reason theogt brought up that statistical analysis was to show the futility of using past statistics to predict the future. It's far too simplistic a strategy to be very effective .

If it makes you feel better, the Giants where pretty much in this position two seasons ago. Coughlin was on the verge of getting fired and their team was on the verge of falling of the map, but the Giants had a come from behind victory over the Jets that pretty much sparked their rejuvenation and propelled them throughout the remainder of the season on the way to a SB victory. Todays win wasn't pretty but it could be the season-changing victory that really brings everything together.
