Teams like the Rams and Chiefs can make the playoffs as easily as the Giants or Steelers, because apparently you can't judge a team based on its performance, or something like that.

If it makes you feel better, the Giants where pretty much in this position two seasons ago. Coughlin was on the verge of getting fired and their team was on the verge of falling of the map, but the Giants had a come from behind victory over the Jets that pretty much sparked their rejuvenation and propelled them throughout the remainder of the season on the way to a SB victory. Todays win wasn't pretty but it could be the season-changing victory that really brings everything together.

the Jets also were 4-12 that year.

Who knows? All I know is we play Atlanta after a bye and will be getting key personnel back.
