I don't have a problem with the players celebrating a win, ever. Today was a dogfight for them.

Of course I read it. Asking James if "this could have been a devastating loss" (a sensible query, btw) is hardly the same thing as asking him to apologize for the close outcome. In fact, it's not even close.

Did you read the title of the article?

Jerry Jones, the guy who demands excellence, is awfully happy with a team who's clearly going downhill. He made excuses about the Denver loss last week and he'll sugar coat a penalty filled, sloppy win this week. A select few in the organization are in charge of looking at the big picture and Jerrah and his good ol' boy Wade are not.

so, Jerry isn't supposed to be happy, high five, or give hugs after a win? as I said, this logic is absolutely ridiculous.

also, how is this team clearly going down hill? the two games we've lost have been two teams that are collectively undefeated...

How can you not see the Cowboys going downhill? Nobody loves the Cowboys more than me, but can you honestly say you feel good about them right now? I was so pissed off during the game today because the Cowboys have the talent to dominate, but their lack of execution and passion makes them an average team.

Their execution has been terrible. Four defensive offsides penalties on one drive? Missed tackle after missed tackle?

An offense that has become so vanilla that you can just see the defense creeping up to put 8 in the box. Repeated fumbles by Crayton. Missed field goals. Repeated punts, not fielded, one by Newman put the ball on the one yard line. Just terrible play. Do you see the players catching hell on the sidelines or getting yanked after making repeated mistakes?

Do you see them improving from the first game or getting worse? You can say they've lost some guys to injury, but what team hasn't? This team does not get the leadership it needs from its Owner/GM or it's "head coach". There is zero accountability and that's just a shame. This team will continue to make the same mistakes because the head coach doesn't have the balls to make the necessary changes.

If Jerrah is ok with this type of team, then I hate to say it, but the Cowboys are destined for mediocrity.

Uh huh. On the other hand, we're barely defeating bad football teams. The Giants decided the Oakland game by the 2nd qtr. The Eagles ended the Chiefs game by the 2nd qtr. They are convincingly destroying common opponents, while we chase our tails for 60 minutes.

The same Giants team who needed 4 turnovers to beat us by 2?

I'm happy to get a win today, but if there's someone out there who's happy with the play of the Cowboys, then you just aren't paying attention. They get more and more sloppy with each game. You can't win that way.

oh so not only do we nearly lose to bad teams because of dumb play, we lose to good teams because of dumb play as well?

Yes, the same Giants that were able to beat an equally bad Oakland team with a hobbled QB and missing some key personnel on D. It's controversial to note that they're better than us?

I believe more players are getting fired up each week and players are starting to play better, except the select few. our starting RB is not 100% and our #2 RB is injured as well. a couple players on defense are pretty worthless, but a lot of them are playing better. I'd rather work stuff out now and get hot later on, instead of play amazing now and drift off like the last few years.

the Giants didn't start their season off well when they won the Super Bowl.

They are better than us. Thus our loss to them. I'm sorry the Cowboys aren't as bad as your worries. I really am.

Yes, but the Giants aren't the norm. That's why everybody remembers -- because it was unusual.

I betcha the best predictor of having a mediocre season is to have a mediocre start.

For those of you who enjoy watching a team make stupid, undisciplined mistakes over and over again, i'm sorry.

the funniest part of this whole football prediction garbage is that FOOTBALL IS UNPREDICTABLE.

Ah, sarcasm. Zkill's act must be infectious. Considering how poorly they played for large stretches of time against an inferior(?) opponent, I'd say I've been exceedingly generous.
