DMN Blog: Cowboys refuse to apologize for win/Brooking cherishes the win

:laugh2: and they're 5-0. they don't need injuries as an excuse like you always use for this team.

I have not made any excuses ..... I am agreeing with you.

We suck and the loss today proved it.

I have already said they are more likely to. You're missing the point on purpose.

Hey your the one not answering my questions, i gave you three questions to answer and you refused to answer them, at least I answer you questions.

Than I ask you about why starting QBs like manning and brady are just handed the job at the beginning of the season instead of just expected to earn it.

Answer either of these honestly and you will realize last season matters, especially in the case we have here.

yeah ok. you already used the injury excuse

No ...... I said for others to stop making excuses.

And that every team has 3 missing starters.

There is some evidence the morale is better. Long, disputed ugly argument there but we may be on the same side on this one.

There is good reason to argue their special teams are better (performance is better, new special teams coach, kickoff specialist (take that!), etc.

But here's the problem with the argument in general--there is no reason, beyond blind faith, to believe that the Cowboys have taken care of their turnover and penalty problem. There is little evidence that the D is better, despite making some changes in the offseason. Same for the offense.
I am not claiming any of those things. Once again, 3-2 is too soon to say we are not making the playoffs. Regardless of last year.

I would answer if I knew what the hell the point is.

Why do you have to know what the point is its a simple question. Just answer it honestly.

Exactly ...... every team has lost 3 starters this year.

Our injuries are actually pretty minor. Sensabaugh has missed exactly one game. Barber has been in and out. Roy has missed one game. Jones has missed roughly half the season. Out QBs, TEs, OL, DL, LBs and CBs have been pretty much completely healthy. We've got, what, 2 rookies on IR?

Last year we were much worse off and there were a number of teams that fared even worse. Cincinnati had 20-some people on IR at one point.

now you're gonna play your new gimmick because you know you already made the excuse.:laugh2: go kiss up to Hos now since you haven't done it in this thread yet.

Nope ..... 3 wins will not make the playoffs ..... and everyone knows we are not gonna win another game this year.

Stop being such a blind homer.

You're absolutely correct. Not one of these trends is an absolute indicator of playoff success.

However, it's also correct to state the Cowboys are far less likely to make the playoffs if their turnover differential continues at its current rate.

I did answer your questions. They were all about last year.

I repeat, irrelevant. That is my answer.

Top QBs are handed starting jobs. Wow, there's a revelation. Thank you for setting me straight. I never knew that in all my 39 years of fandom. My whole perspective has changed.

Last season does not matter. Get over it already and focus on this year.

Nope ...... this was my first post telling others to stop doing it.

Stop making excuses ..... what could three starters possibly have to do with how we play?

So I think you are confused.

Do not be a blind homer ..... ok.

Thank you. I have already acknowledged the last statement. You are now acknowledging my whole point.

Very few people here, if any, are arguing that we aren't making the playoffs. A bunch of us have argued that we're not likely to. What most of us are doing, however, is arguing that it's perfectly legitimate to look at all of the available evidence and take a stab at it.

I totally agree, but the accountability has to come from 2 people. Jerrah and Wade. The fact that Jerrah was fist pumping and hugging his son in the booth tells me that he's satisfied. Total B.S.

Yep, blame Jerry.

Yup that guy is a blind homer.

I kicked my 3 year old son in the face when we had the nerve to Win that game ...... out of anger.

grrrrrrr

Read the thread again. I promise you what you just claimed is wrong.

I'm with you on this one. It's pretty silly to complain about an owner celebrating a dramatic OT win.
