Deion, who was well known for not only being lazy in practice, but also rubbing off on some of the lesser players who did not have his natural talent (Sherman Williams, Kevin Williams) is questioning Roy Williams who reported three weeks early to offseason work-outs.

What an absolute agenda driven moron.

Here's to a season of him ripping Garrett, Romo, Witten and Roy Williams until they prove him wrong.

In which case he will just jump on their bandwagon with no mention of him being wrong.

Nimrod

Not too mention Sanders thought he was too good for the defensive huddle. That started rubbing off on our other CB's too.

I was never a Sanders or TO fan, glad both are gone.

I never listen to Sanders so his rants don't bother me unless someone post them on here...Which I just take with a grain of salt.

Roy Williams has a lot to prove... I can't wait to see how it works out. My money is on him being a 1,200+ yard guy with 10 TDs.

Great. I want it.

I am all for it. More, more... yeah...yeah...

Stop talking and show me...us....

We have been the anti-Jimmy Johnson team... "we talk the talk but we DONT walk the walk"

I have not seen enough "change" to be SOOOOOOOOOOO enthusiastic about the upcoming season

Yep, I honestly dont understand why networks employee deion or why anyone would listen to anything he has to say. He is always wrong and he only defends small pockets of people, usually ones that can help keep his name in the spotlight.

2004 with no glenn, and a wr core of keyshawn, copper, ward and crayton he had 87 catches for 980 yars with 6 td's, with testaverde throwing to him behind a very poor line.

Boy how will witten ever cope without the worlds greatest human to save him on the football field.

The reality is williams or anyone else do not have to be buffalo bill, they just need to be key contributors and do their jobs every play, when they get the ball and when they don't. Those are the teams that win.

The amount of time spent bickering over a numbered ranking of wr is absurd. I wish someone would go tell deion to stick his number 1 in his number 2 and quit making people get all riled up over this.

agreed theebs
i used to respect deion's opinion but i have come to realize that he does not give honest opinion on what he really thinks but gives his opinion through "deion" glasses. there are players he wants to prop up and players he wants to put down, not based on their play but personal agenda. so i just see his mouth moving but i dont really listen to him any more.

He was in here 3 weeks before required working out with Romo 3 days a week, hard for me to believe he isnt a "practice guy".

who cares what that tard says. Go do another reality show and keep that spotlight shining right on your bald dome dude.

and in 2004, we lost dan campbell and terry glenn. Jason witten had his best season, he was basically unstoppable that year. So there goes that theory.

That little group from the nfl network is going to be impossible to watch just like espn this year. They are all mad the white guys didnt fired or blamed so they are going to have an axe to grind all season.

Homer Alert..

So were none of these flaws evident as a Lion or did he suddenly become a turd after the trade? Why would Jerry trade for a player with this many (alleged) shortcomings?

They were evident. A blind man could see some of those (although he does have good speed). I'm guessing Jerry felt that he had the size and athleticism to be a great WR, but since he was playing of the Lions and struggled running routes he wasn't that great. But if he played for a better team with a better QB and was coached better....

That type of reasoning happens all of the time. Unfortunately, I don't think RW's problems were just playing for the Lions.

why do I keep hearing that Roy is not fast? he may not be the fastest wr in the league but that doesn't mean he isn't fast. how come he's been a #1 wr ever since highschool yet now he's not a #1 wr anymore?

Disagreeing with Deion is being a homer?

I think it's hard for people to separate his personality (which is admittedly grating) from his analysis.

OH really, why is that?

I dont think roy williams is anything more than just a good player. I have heard analysts who actually know what they are talking about comment that roy williams is a very poor route runner and he seems lazy.

The difference is, I dont see him as replacing buffalo bill. I see him as just a good player who can help this team with the other good players around him.

Especially if he is motivated by all the negative attention he got to be a better player.

I dont care about wr stats that much and I only want roy williams to do as much as he can to help the team win, if it is 3 catches a game and 750 yards at the end of the year and we are in the playoffs and win, It wont matter to me.

I just want guys who are there to help the team win and contribute every way they can every down. So when the williams isnt buffalo bill war is raging on here in the summer I wont care 1 iota because you dont need 1500 yard wr to win the superbowl, just guys who give it their all and contribute every snap.

Now, go root for the browns mr. quinn.

If I had to bet, I would say so.

Deion is trying to give his honest opinion on Roy and I think he's probably a good scout to have when it comes to scouting WR's as long as he's being honest and unbiased.

I also have a friend who has covered the Lions for years (poor him) and he had very similar comments about RW since he was drafted.

Hopefully they are wrong.

It doesn't matter if Roy WIlliams is only a number 2... We got Miles Austin who is going to replace TO with his speed per Jerry...

"It's going to be a tough year for your tight end Jason Witten," Sanders told Cowboys fans."You don't have a No. 1.(wide receiver) So what do you focus on? Your tight end. Now you're tight end is your No. 1 receiver. You double him on the inside and the outside and your big fellow (Roy Williams) has got to win outside and that's not going to happen.http://sportsmediablog.***BANNED-URL***/archives/2009/03/deion-filets-roy-wr-williams.html#email

I disagree with this. Although Witten's best seasons were the two most recent, he's been making plays since he came into the league.

One of his best seasons was in 04. Do I need to remind you all of that starting offense?

Sure, we lost TO. But we will have quite a few things that we can still look forward to:
1. Roy is able to work more with Tony.
2. Felix Jones for an entire season. (Hopefully). Not to mention the fact that we now know what T. Choice can do.
3. Martellus Bennett with a year under his belt.
4. Miles Austin will be given a chance to show what he can do.

Just like you whined about Roy Williams for the last three years and TO last year incessantly, I think I'll whine about the release of TO and the keeping of Garrett for about 1 millionth of the total whining the anti-TO brigade has done for the last 3 years...

He's the only one I've talked good about... Evidence? The hypocrisy on this forum is just amusing. For three years the anti-TO brigade was whining and whining, castigating Jerry everyday, saying this organization was headed for disaster. When TO is released, they have the audacity to complain that other people 'whine' and they then make stupid comments like "go route for the Bills". I'm whining because Jerry kept the idiot Garrett and released whom Calvin Hill even said was the hardest worker he has ever seen and whose impact on the offense on a bad day was more than Garrett ever contributed to this team. It is the nostalgia of the nineties that the Red-headed idiot is here.
