Witten doesnt need buffalo bill to be a great player. End that right now.
I don’t think anyone is saying he needs TO to be a great player, but all TE’s need a WR as a threat to be effective. Since you brought up 2004, the offense was mediocre at best, with KJ only catching 1 ball less per Witten. If all RW can do is catch one ball per game better than Witten, then the offense will likely be mediocre again.
and secondly, it isnt a racial issue and never has been.
Then why bring it up? You started this by accusing Deion and the NFL Network team for having an axe to grind because “the white guys didnt fired or blamed.”
Sounds likely you view this exactly as a racial issue.
Except for some reason in this market it has turned into one. And a small group of guys at the nfl network have outright said it and I think alot of people then piggy back on it.
The radio stations here have to deal with this all day whenever cowboys football is talked about. The minute football comes up, someone calls up whining about buffalo bill and how the white media couldnt wait to get rid of him and how garrett and romo suck...catch the drift.
I guess I’m one of “kill whitey” team members, since I basically agree with this. I do believe the media has been out against TO, if not personally, then at least to each make their reputations by reporting on every single thing the guy did in a negative light.
And last year, Garrett did suck. His play calling was atrocious. While I won’t go as far as saying Romo sucks, if he has one or two more years like 2008, then Dallas will be looking for a new QB. That’s not having an agenda, that’s reality.
So again, IMO it is not and has never been racial in any form. Its about 1 person, the same 1 person who has had the same problem in two other spots. That is why it is so frustating for me to listen to everyone calling the radio stations all day with their kill whitey mantra.
I guess I was just watching a different version of the NFL Network than what you got.
I think there’s a lot of selective hearing on everyone’s part. Yes, Deion et al have been on TO’s side, but to say its racial is ridiculous. Dallas played horribly from the 4th game forward. Everyone on Dallas’ bandwagon jumped off with a vengeance, even Deion. The only reason it became “racial” in some minds is that most of the blame falls on the trust that put this team together and was responsible for the plays: Jones, Phillips, Garrett and Romo. The fact that they are all white is inescapable, as well as beside the point.
