You need to post more. Nice sig.

Griffin would be a viable backup.

Last year the same was said about Mariotta and Winston. I heard the same rumblings about Newton and Bortles. Everybody has an opinion on QB's and other positions go bust and nobody notices. Nobody is trying to convince Jerry to trade for Markevious Mingo or Jadeveon Clowney. I'm sure both can be had on the cheap come draft day.

There is no Marriotta or Winston in this draft not even close.
Again, I asked for specifics on your statement that makes it sound so easy. I don't need a list to choose from. I already know who is out there and what a lot of the landscape looks like.

You stated get a good FA. Who? And what top FA is going to take the money and just be content being a backup?

There are a few I like, Matt Moore, Drew Stanton, Colt McCoy. Manziel and RG3 for the right price and massive REHAB.

So be honest. You think they are definitely better than Weeden and Cassel?

Easy to say now since we got a nice nasty taste of those two, but I don't see how any of those three are a sure fire way to go with what we need in a backup.

Moore, maybe, but he bounces around for a reason, he just is not that good. Our offense is not like Arians' offense where it can function with a backup of Stanton's quality. McCoy? Please.

Idk man, RG3 is a lot younger and more athletic so is Manziel.

what has Romo really done?

Had the highest QBR in 2014, most 4th qtr wins since 2006, I believe he's the 4th highest all-time in td/interception ratio. What has RG3 done? He can't even read a defense.

And that's my biggest problem with him. If people think RG3 is some type of savior, get ready for 6-10 type seasons year in a year out in this scheme. Maybe if Chip was our coach it could work. If Romo is healthy, you roll with him over RG3.

If I knew for sure if they were better I would give you the 7 winning numbers on this weekends lotto. Who knows but do you have a better plan? I know that they would be better than any Qb coming out of the draft this year since I am not sold on what is available. There are no Mariotta's or Winston's in this draft.

Well that's your opinion and I respect that but I disagree and we'll just have to wait and see.

The draft is a hit and miss who really knows maybe your right and there is a gem in the wings.

I would draft one of the top ones in April rather than repeat the same process that got us Weeden and Cassel. The backup QBs that are going to be one the market (those not named Manziel or Griffin) have collective bodies of work as bad or worse than Weeden or Cassel had. I don't repeat mistakes, nor the circumstances that brought them on.

So does that mean you dont like him ??

Kinda sounds like your talking about Jerry lol.
They might get along great party bus pals!

Also Johnny never wanted to go to cleveland, He wanted dallas, and his actions there could be that of someone wanting to be cut.
If he gets cut then he can go elsewhere, and maybe dallas.

I think Jerry will go after him since it would not cost much.

I don't know him, so I neither like or dislike him. But he has proven himself to be a drunkard and has been caught lying. He is a guy who is a lightning rod, this team has enough of those.

I want a pro QB, a guy who can come in with limited prep and be accurate from the pocket, a guy who doesn't make his O line block for 5-10 seconds while he scurries about trying to find a wide open receiver because he can't read defenses and doesn't use a play book and doesn't party until the early hours of the morning on game days!!

so you dont think he may be doing all that to get out of cleveland ??
I think maybe it is all just to get out of there.
But at same time I would rather get someone bigger as qb.

Once again why is Wade Wilson our QB coach? Its tantamount to bringing in Stepfret Williams or Jeff Ogden to coach Dez Bryant.

Somebody asked that question point blank to Gosselin and he didn't even bother to give a direct answer. I don't think anyone knows what he is still doing here. Nobody in the media bothers to question what he has done or what function he serves.

It is if he is like some vase gathering dust on a corner shelf. You walk past it all the time, but it has no real purpose, nor do you waste time trying to decide if it has any use. It is just. There. In fact, you have no idea how it got there, you just know it has been around forever.

Fair enough but drafting doesn't guarantee success especially at the quarterback positions, and like I said it is a hit or miss. Honestly I highly doubt that Jerry is going the #1 pick on a QB. The correct thing to do is take the best player available at #4

Johnny Football career highlights

So sad really the guy has talent if he ever puts his head on right. If we do land him I hope that all the latest Cleveland antics were just a way of him getting out of Cleveland.

The BPA concept is theoretically correct but it is such a cop out. So if the QB is the BPA, then what? Need?

I would fully understand if this draft class had a few more "sure things". Not that is a great concept to live by, but this class does not feel right to simply say there are a handful of "franchise" players and we should just take the best one.
