That sounds innocuous, but given how much attention the Cowboys have gotten because of Romo's relationship with Jessica, I can understand the team's sensitivity to that issue.

Having played just college football before (lower levels), I can tell you, nothing is off limits in a locker room. If you cannot take a joke about anything, you are in the wrong sport by far.

The bad thing is, once you show it bugs you, it only makes it that much worse in most cases. I've even seen coaches jump in on the trashing just for giggles when they know someone is an easy mark.

Locker rooms are meant to be fun, crack some jokes and just have a good time. I'm sure none of the guys there mean anything they say. Just have to know how to take a punch as well as give them out when someone tries to throw a jab your way.

Bennett didn't make the joke in the lockerroom, he made it to the media.

He's always had a huge mouth and loves playing up to the cameras. One FWST writer once said he's had more memorable quotes than memorable catches at A&M.

So undrafted Danny Amendola is schooling first-round pick Mike Jenkins on Day 1 of mini-camp.

I don't know whether to :laugh2: or :bang2:

Either way, I'm not too surprised.

Hopefully Mike's "elite" athleticism can help him rebound.

Jenkins is participating in his first practice in the rookie minicamp. I bet he's nervous. Besides he does occasionally not show up while other times looks almost all world. That's part of being young and somewhat immature. He'll have his juices slowing by end of TC & learn a lot in preseason games. He'll probably see some time in the slot but doubt he starts until mid season unless one of our starters' gets hurt. After all, Cromartie out in SD nor Ross with the Giants starts until mid season but made rapid strides after that. We in the position Jenkins doesn't absolutely have to start immediately; been a long time since we could say that.

Put me down as OFFICIALLY worried about Jenkins if he can't stop our FA WR 3/3 times.

Why did we give out big money to Cryton last yr? This kid Armendola is going to unseat Cryton as our 3rd WR. IF we can actually get a good 2nd WR on this team.

Why react in a negative way on the first day of mini camp? Apparently they are working on Jenkins off the ball footwork, he's much better at press from what I've read. I'll take the positive view on possilby having Welker 2.0.

This is Jenkin's first NFL showing and if he can't "get up" for this....he's is a bust .

I think if Pacman isn't playing, Jenkins will play the outside while Newman moves into the slot. The slot CB position is much harder then the outside. Newman is still THE MAN.

I don't hate him. I don't particularly care for players who underachieve. I WANT him to be a good player for us. God knows we need a good CB.

Think about it. This camp is like going to work for the first day getting your first paycheck. If you can't get excited about this, man are you in trouble.

I hope it's just some jitters and maybe the coach working on his footwork and technique. I hope......
