I think Houston is the better fit if they could make that happen. Not sure they can though.
Younger and maybe even better overall roster, and they play indoors in a lessor division.

Will Sanchez be the backup than next year?
I actually would not have that big of a problem with him being the backup. If you go into the season with the intention that your backup QB is there for you for a game or two, Sanchez should be fine. If we would have the misfortune to lose Dak for multiple games, Sanchez probably is not so great. Most teams don't have a backup QB that can fill in for multiple games without much of a drop off.

Not sure what some on here have against this guy but when healthy he's great. Period.

Hope he gets himself a ring wherever he goes as long as it isn't against the Cowboys.
Understandable. Some people hold him primarily responsible for most or all of the team's shortcomings during his career. On one hand, the assessment might be logical if he played golf professionally and was judged for what he didn't accomplish playing an individual sport. On the other hand, he played a team sport in which teammates and coaches' miscues and gaffes, especially in critical games, are routinely overlooked or dismissed--so assessments are skewed. In my opinion, it's a reasonable assumption that some people take the adage 'Quarterbacks get too much credit and too much blame' literally.

You can mock all you want but that's where he'd start and only here if Wilson decides to leave or retire. He wouldn't stay a position coach forever. He has to learn to be a coach esp if he wants to migrate to the next position which is OC. He has enough money to do whatever he wants to do. If he wants to coach then why not. Otherwise he can migrate to the booth. Or go into politics, etc.

You have a habit of mocking people. That's member to member. I'd consider finding another way to get your point across..

Mocking? No.

Pointing out ridiculous and unrealistic views? Yes.

Agree with your first sentence.

Agree with your second sentence.

What I see, however, is many folks just blowing by the "when healthy" part and getting all starry eyed about what the Cowboys could obtain in trade for Romo. He hasn't been on the field for any significant length of time over the last two seasons for a reason.

I think people are going to be sorely disappointed over the kind of value that is actually there at this point in Tony's career.

But.............what do I know? Its all speculation until something real shows up.

We'll see.

I would fall out laughing if he goes to the Texans. Texan fans HATE Romo and the slander they've made against him over the years is epic. I would have sooo much fun at all the bitter beer faces of my friends if he were to trot out on the field in their uniform.

Wow, if the hate's that strong, maybe the owner and GM wouldn't want to got here.
of course, there's some posters in this forum that fall into that category too.

On a side note, this could be just coincidence. I don't share it much, because of the subject matter, but Romo has always been spotted around the poltiical party seen. White house correspondence dinners, inauguration stuff, etc.. So, I wouldn't make too much out of it.

Also read a tweet by Ed Werner that Elway isn't sure he can really protect Romo behind their OL since "the best OL in the NFL" couldn't do it. Somebody's gonna Romo, just not sure Denver will be it.

It's very strong... To the point I had to stop talking football with friends, because I mean, they were comparing Schaub to Romo. Like really? lol However, they do believe they're a QB away from actually making noise in the postseason and think Osweiler is hot garbage.

I'm more concerned with what we get back from the Broncos. I won't be thrilled if we get a 3rd round pick or a washed up DeMarcus Ware back. I'll cheer for any team with Romo as a QB though, barring them playing against Dallas.

So I guess this is what's done on message boards. Everyone make a snide remark.
Feels like something kids would do nowadays.

I am sorry ....... has Romo taken a hit in practice? Because everyone knows how great Romo is as a QB ....... problem is in a real game he will get hit ........ and is body has proven in the last two years he cannot take any kind of hit without breaking a bone in his body.

I agree ....... he is great when healthy ........ just like Troy Aikman ........ and Troy had to retire when his body could not take the pounding anymore.

Sadder part is those dumb Texans fans would rather roll with Brock over Romo......in my circle of friends anyways
