guess you missed Jax spending every offseason since they drafted him trying to replace him, because he sux. Oh, and he's lazy and a drug head.

WONDERFUL combination!
So a lazy drug head that's only been playing receiver 3 years and sux produces as much as Crayton?

So Jacksonville spent every offseason trying to replace him, did they...well, I guess Dallas must be trying to replace Witten then huh, you know, drafting Fasano, Bennett, Philips and then signing Hannah, Curtis and chandler... or maybe they're trying to acquire more talent, and not just trying to replace him...

Jones must of been really lazy last year to catch 65 balls, and was by far, jacksonville's best receiver..oh, great analysis there, by you---HE SUCKS, wow, that's well thought out. Certainly not as much of a drug head as Michael Irvin was in his day or maybe still is... I certainly didn't by his lame excuse for having drug paraphernalia in the car after a traffic stop a couple of years ago.. but since he's hall of fame cowboy, he gets a pass, right!!!!!

It's funny though, Matt Jones, didn't fail his nfl drug test before the drug arrest, so maybe he's cleaned up his act, has done what was required by the commish and since all charges were dropped against him, he isn't getting suspended by the league... he doesn't deserve a second chance, but a dog torturing, slaugtering killer gets a second chance..hmmmmm.

T.O was a cancer and locker room divider, but Ed Werder was lying, right, lol!!! Pac-rat has people around him getting shot at or killed, punches out his own security to keep him out of trouble, 13 incidents wth police envolved and Tank Johnson's a gun touting convict, who also spent time in jail, but Matt Jones can't get a second chance...I'll take a one time using recovering addict over a locker room cancer anyday....

It's really sad that we have fans this lame.

Crayton...7th rd pick from tiny school, coverted to WR as a project. Turns himself into dependable #2/#3 WR...is not, and never has been expected to be THE GUY.

Crayton averages more yds per catch and has scored more tds, despite having to actually work hard and develop himself over time. He wasnt handed a position, further he's been on a team where he has never been the 1st, 2nd and somethimes not even the 3rd option.

On the other hand we have a guy who was a workout warrior, drafted in 1st rd and has been basically a flop since day one. He's totally free to sign anywhere he wants right now, yet nobody wants him.

We could trade Crayton today to any number of teams, because somebody WOULD want him.

Crayton is a far better NFL player than Matt Jones, and its not even remotely close.

Now Matt Jones = winning.

I missed Jacksonville's Super Bowl. I slept that day.

So Patrick Crayton = Super Bowl? RW never won anything with the lions yet you advocated bringing him in here. I don't understand this logic or no team won a SB with this guy therefore he's not needed. Can you explain it to me HoS cause your logic seems like fail.

Romo says all the right things about Roy. Everything about his time here has screamed major disapointment from the word go.

I haven't mentioned Patrick Crayton in this thread. In fact I haven't mentioned him today. In fact I think it has been a month or more since I have mentioned him at all.

I didn't say anything about Roy Williams either and I certainly never said anything about only acquiring players who have played for Super Bowl winners.

I responded to an empty claim that acquiring Matt Jones will equate to winning. Nothing more. The point is no one player does that. No one ever has.

If it still isn't clear to you ask clarifying questions. ;)

Daboys4life... Anytime you have a thought about football you should reach back and pimp slap yourself.

I'm just asking because this isn't the first time you've stated this. You also said it in response to TO getting released. But I guess that's neither here no there. What it really boils down to is if you think Matt Jones is better than Crayton. I think he is. Do you think he will fit into our offense I think he will and will he compliment RW and Romo I think he does. However, nevertheless I would like to hear your opinion because it doesn't just end with Matt Jones doesn't end with superbowl.

Hmm Torry Holt would have looked great in a Cowboys uniform...

We've got too much invested in Roy Williams (highest paid WR in the league), to overpay for a washed up vet like Holt.

This offseason had plenty of nice WR options there for the taking, instead we'll continue to give Romo mediocre targets because of an impulsive move to add a Texas born Keyshawn and an attachment to a shiney stat-padding diva for 3 years.

Well thankfully it's just sprained. Sounds like he'll be fine in a few days. Those thinking of jumping off the cliff can now take a deep breath and step away from the ledge.

:bang2::bang2::bang2:OK what are we waiting on? Roy has sprained his wrist(eventhough the results are negative), Isaiah Stanback can't stay healthy, Austin Miles stays hurt, and Sam Hurd is questionable. So instead of waiting until the season starts, or someone signs him, lets sign Matt Jones please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It really doesn't take a rocket scientist. Why is it we always wait until the last minute to do anything.

No, I don't think he fits here and I don't want him here. If we were going to get a veteran WR I would have preferred it be a good character guy like Amani Toomer or maybe Marty Booker. At one time I might have said Marvin Harrison, but now there are so many questions about him, including eroding skills that I am not at all interested. I don't share the hand wringing thoughts that our WRs suck and we're going to suffer. I happen to think Hurd, Austin, and Crayton will be fine compliments to Williams and that our TEs are serious weapons anyway. I also like that we are throwing screens to the RBs. I don't think we need a Matt Jones at all and I hope we stay far away.

This is the Patrick Crayton he's talking about:

Over last 3 seasons:
Crayton: 1762 yards, 15 TDs
Jones: 1721 yards, 10 TDs

OOOF!

Now I'm not normally one to just jump in and point out the obvious, but in this case...

that was one hell of a smackdown.

well done theogt

Roddy White makes more money than RW so that statement is false.

no what doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure out is that we dont need coke heads on our team after we spent all off season cleaning out the locker room of the losers we already had

Not really "on topic" but- is it only me that notices how eagles sign Vick and they are good samaritans (there's some irony for you) but had Dallas done the same or say signed Matt Jones every retired player and his dog would feel the sudden urge to throw the Cowboys under a bus?
What a joke

Sure I'd sign Jones but I'd also sign Jones, so go figure I think the talent fits team needs perfect that's all.
