DMN Update: Roy Williams has sprained left wrist...*results negative*

So Jacksonville spent every offseason trying to replace him, did they...well, I guess Dallas must be trying to replace Witten then huh, you know, drafting Fasano, Bennett, Philips and then signing Hannah, Curtis and chandler... or maybe they're trying to acquire more talent, and not just trying to replace him...

Jones must of been really lazy last year to catch 65 balls, and was by far, jacksonville's best receiver..oh, great analysis there, by you---HE SUCKS, wow, that's well thought out. Certainly not as much of a drug head as Michael Irvin was in his day or maybe still is... I certainly didn't by his lame excuse for having drug paraphernalia in the car after a traffic stop a couple of years ago.. but since he's hall of fame cowboy, he gets a pass, right!!!!!

It's funny though, Matt Jones, didn't fail his nfl drug test before the drug arrest, so maybe he's cleaned up his act, has done what was required by the commish and since all charges were dropped against him, he isn't getting suspended by the league... he doesn't deserve a second chance, but a dog torturing, slaugtering killer gets a second chance..hmmmmm.

T.O was a cancer and locker room divider, but Ed Werder was lying, right, lol!!! Pac-rat has people around him getting shot at or killed, punches out his own security to keep him out of trouble, 13 incidents wth police envolved and Tank Johnson's a gun touting convict, who also spent time in jail, but Matt Jones can't get a second chance...I'll take a one time using recovering addict over a locker room cancer anyday....

But with Matt Jones, you get both for the price of one!

Guess you don't want it mentioned that he's such a piece o' crap that he was demoted to running out on the field and retrieving the kicking tee for one game with Jaxonvil. Probably really don't want it mentioned that he'd expose himself to reporters in college when they asked questions he didn't want to answer. That would include women reporters FWIW.

Matt Jones has it in him to be a poster boy for the future unemployed arrogant piece of garbage that did everything possible to sabotage his career in the NFL, and succeeded.

He's just another member of the Ryan Leaf Hall of Shame.

no what doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure out is that we dont need coke heads on our team after we spent all off season cleaning out the locker room of the losers we already had

:banghead:Come on man, give the man a break, he made a mistake dang!!!! Matt Jones can still play no one is perfect, so stop criticizing. I'm pretty sure you have got some skeletons in your closet!!!!

Not really "on topic" but- is it only me that notices how eagles sign Vick and they are good samaritans (there's some irony for you) but had Dallas done the same or say signed Matt Jones every retired player and his dog would feel the sudden urge to throw the Cowboys under a bus?
What a joke
I haven't seen anything like that. I've seen protests and reports of PETA planning protests at all of their games, etc.

No, I don't think he fits here and I don't want him here. If we were going to get a veteran WR I would have preferred it be a good character guy like Amani Toomer or maybe Marty Booker. At one time I might have said Marvin Harrison, but now there are so many questions about him, including eroding skills that I am not at all interested. I don't share the hand wringing thoughts that our WRs suck and we're going to suffer. I happen to think Hurd, Austin, and Crayton will be fine compliments to Williams and that our TEs are serious weapons anyway. I also like that we are throwing screens to the RBs. I don't think we need a Matt Jones at all and I hope we stay far away.

Ah I see, it's more of the off the field issues with the factor that you have faith in the back ups. That's understandable. I have faith in RW and Hurd but I don't think Hurd will be able to give us enough nor do I have any faith in Crayton. I still think Matt Jones is that deep threat that we lack with that size and speed oh god he could do wonders with Romo.

You should have heard JT the Brick tonight. Everyone in the Eagles organization was given much satisfaction via the airwaves while Wade Phillips was derided because he has bad body language.

JT is a huge Oakland fan though. It showed tonight. The "Patriots weren't cheating because everyone else is doing it" posse is rounding up and heading out to stave off any negativity about Vick's reinstatement.

JT is a NY Giants fan. He's a tool. He hangs off the Raiders jock because Al Davis signs his check.

Not good? Pffff, he's good to go and our team leader said he's gonna have some fresh legs. Period........

2 questions. First, did RW catch the ball anyways? Second, is anyone on this team in the secondary getting tested as much as Mr. Orlando Scandrick and coming up with positive result after positive result as much as this grinder?

how many times have i heard that.....?

This whole Romo-Williams connection is the most tired and overblown story of training camp.

Matt Jones is one of the slowest recievers in the NFL. If I had to describe his game, the last thing I would mention would be his speed. You really have no clue what your talking about.

FAIL

Jones, measured in at 6' 6" tall, and 225 pounds 4.37 and 4.40 seconds in the 40-yard dash, a 39.5" vertical jump, and a 10' 9" broad jump.

Not that I want him - just saying his 40 time pretty fast

We've got too much invested in Roy Williams (highest paid WR in the league)

Williams isn't the highest-paid receiver in the league, Steve Smith is. Williams isn't even among the top 20 wide receivers with the highest cap numbers this season.

We've got too much invested in Roy Williams (highest paid WR in the league), to overpay for a washed up vet like Holt.

This offseason had plenty of nice WR options there for the taking, instead we'll continue to give Romo mediocre targets because of an impulsive move to add a Texas born Keyshawn and an attachment to a shiney stat-padding diva for 3 years.

That's what I thought. If anything, Roy could be a huge bargain compared to these other reciever pay days.

Do you watch football games? Have you seen how slow Matt Jones is on the field?

I watched him since he was in college- your wrong Slate

beening 6-6 his stride is much longer than people think

people have misjudged his speed for years

He's hardly a deep threat. Please look up his catch average. When you do please give yourself a FAIL for me. Thanks. I'm tired.
