This loss was not on Dak. We once again had terrible coaching and a terrible defence. But that's OK, this a young team. I think their time will come.

They also dared the Cowboys Defense to stop the running game and the Cowboys Defense got worked over. The Defense sucked last night. Funny, how the narrative with Romo is how he couldn't win the big one because he didn't have a RB like Zeke, a roster like the current Cowboys, or the number 2 Defense. And some always blamed Romo's lack of success at getting past the divisional round, on bad defenses or poor defensive performances in the playoffs under Romo.

Or blamed the Oline for Romo not getting past the divisional round. Yet, the same ones who excused Romo for not being able to overcome these things, expect Dak to overcome these things. When the great Romo, who some build up to legendary status, couldn't do it either.

You mean when Luck had an awful performance in the playoffs and doesn't have a Superbowl ring or SUperbowl appearance, anymore than Dak does. Luck at one point throw for only 12 passing yards in the 1st half. But, because he is Luck, then I guess his poor performance gets excused, since he is seen as a great QB and since some just dislike Dak.

Once could say that Luck had a worse overall performance from start to finish, than Dak did. Colts only got 13 points and 7 of those was against a blocked punt. Which means Luck only got 6. But, he can still receive credit, for only scoring 6 points in a playoff game, while Dak gets bashed for scoring 22.

Dak didn't even have a chance to win

Yes he did. He had several and failed on several of them. If he hits Gallup (wide open receiver in the middle of the field) late in the 2nd Qtr, the ghost "in the grasp" doesn't happen. Not to mention that Gallup may have scored on that play. Instead he (typically) throws behind him. That wasn't the only bad throw of the game, but the one that is stuck in my mind at the moment.
Was #4 the only reason this team lost? No. The O-Line and D-Line got mauled. The defense looked confused on a lot of plays (that's why #50 was inserted) and the team was totally outcoached. #4 did leave some points on the field though, so he is part of the problem going forward and unless he gets more (much more) accurate with his passes, will continue to be a part of the problem.

Actually points win games not yards, so if you hold an opponent to 3 vice 7 then.................

Nearly 300 rushing yards matters in a loss and points do matter when the offense gets 30, on top of only having to punt one team, because of a defense playing so poorly. The Defense couldn't come up with a stop when they needed to. But, some believe that Dak hitting more throws, would have meant the Defense rising up to come up with enough stops to win the game. More than likely, the Rams would have challenged the Defense more, even if our offense scored more points.

Which would mean it would be up to the Defense to prove they could stop the Rams offense, when they couldn't all night. Last night defensive performance, is the same type that some have blamed for the Cowboys not making it past the divisional round, with Romo. The same ones who call Romo great and assume, he would have won the Superbowl with a better defensive performance, now expect Dak to overcome, a defensive performance, that was worse than any of the defensive performances, we had with Romo in the divisional round.

Romo couldn't overcome not having a RB of Zeke's caliber(for the if Romo had Zeke Crowd), but Dak is supposed to overcome the Rams shutting down Zeke. Same double standards, where other QBs are given the benefit of the doubt and Dak is just given the blame.

Dak didn't do anything tonight to warrant any kind of hate even from his harshest critics. Our vaunted defense didn't make the Rams punt one time..you tend to lose those games. It is what it is...

We need a competitive backup. We also need to use Dak in more read options. We are playing him like he is a packet passer. That's not his game. Can't run him out of fear at the moment. We have nothing behind him.

Dak’s fault we lost......

A post in this thread elevated Goff and Luck and to imply that Dak wasn't as good or elite as them. Luck throws for only 12 yards at one point and only scores 6 points. And I just saw stats where Goff had only 186 yards and no TDs and Dak had 266 yards and 1 TD. Yet, because Luck/Goff fit the image and because the media and NFL fans built them up to be elite QBs. They will get more of a pass for their bad to average playoff performances. While Dak gets roasted for not being more perfect and while he will take more heat than Luck will take for how the Colts played yesterday.

Also, just like Goff was assisted greatly by a huge rushing game and our defense allowing a record number in rushing yards allowed. So, that took a lot of the pressure off of Goff. Yet, some still praising him, for making a few good throws, when he throw for under 200 yards. The type of performance, where some would say that it's all Zeke/the running game for winning, if the game had played out in vise versa.

They would look at Dak having 186 yards and 0 TDs and over 200 rushing yards, with several rushing TDS and say that Zeke/the running game carried Dak to a win. But, Goff will get the credit and praise for the Rams win, just because of how he is built up to be elite in the eyes of some. Goff's numbers are the exact type in which some would use to discredit Dak if he had them.

This proves that because of the bias against Dak, some are so willing to put all of the blame on him, that they'll overlook QBs, who didn't do much better in this seasons playoffs than Dak did, despite being built up to be "Much better" than Dak is. QBs like Luck and Goff, given the benefit of the doubt, where Dak isn't.

Tough game. Defense didn't play well, but that was a given.. Thye played a very good offense and all things considered fought hard. held them to field goals...

End of the day, the game was there to be won. They dared dak to win with his arm. With a more efficient QB we win this game.

This guy has so much more than most QB's the team has all the things in place to make noise except for ... DAK.. One of the best olines, one of the best RB's one of the best defenses, good wo's this guy can't win.. he's a scrub. Resigning him and loosing out on other more important players that we should resign will be imprending mediocracy for this franchise for more years to come. He is the issue.

I am not one of those guys that thinks that Dak is the franchise answer at QB.

With that said, we got outcoached. And, frankly, after nine years I'm tired of my team getting outcoached when it matters the most.

This loss isn't on Dak. It's on Jason Garrett.

Everyone gets blame. Dak made some pretty hefty mistakes himself. That being said, coaching is the biggest culprit. I fully believe that Dak can improve and kick serious tail in the future. The coaches have proven that they have a ceiling and we just saw it.

Gonna have to agree to disagree. This is an offensive league. There are times where the D no matter how good it is, is going to give up points. This game should've and wouldve been won if we had a half way competent QB.. period.

Really? How many points do you think elite QB’s put up, when they have zero help from the running game and the defense can’t gst any stops or a turnover to get them the ball back?
