the debate is endless .
It truly is.
Some have said that "eliteness" is in the minds of the individual and how they view the player. Tomayto, tomahhto.
It's just me, but I think the word elite should be used sparingly, esp. with quarterbacks.

I've always defined elite as being in the 90th percentile at your craft. That means that if there are 90 QBs in the NFL (there's probably more like 100) you have to be in the top 9 to elite to me. I don't think there is much of an argument that Dak gets in under that wire. He's 8th in passer rating, 5th in yards per attempt, 2nd in completion percentage 2nd in TD percentage. 7th in QBR... Oh and his team wins 70% of his starts. That's pretty much the definition of elite QB play to me. The only thing keeping him out of the top 5 IMHO is the INTs but 4 of those have bounced off receivers hands, chest or facemask and at least 4 others have just been receivers not finishing routes. I know that's all part of football but when evaluating a play and a player you have to look at everything.

There is certainly opportunity for Dak to climb into that top 5 discussion if he finishes out the season playing at the level he played against Philly. Two more games like that one oughta do it. Especially if he has a similar performance against Washington. But at the end of the day.. it's about winning. Dak has to guide this team to 5 (or 6) more wins to silence the critics. Yes there will still be some dug in asswipes even if he's standing on the podium in February accepting the Super Bowl MVP trophy.. But there's nothing you can do about those people.. You can't fix stupid.

Dak is elite! I hope this makes the Dak hater's heads explode.

It's not about hate....Elite is just a perception on how someone plays and everyone see's it differently.....IMO Its all about how you play in the playoffs....good QBs on good teams get to the playoffs and alot of Elite QBs are master of their craft in the playoffs.....It's time for DAK and these Cowboys to show they belong in the discussion. DAK has had a great year...some could call it an elite year...but I will wait to see how they perform in the playoffs first.

We’ve seen this before. They were 12-5 last year and fizzled out in playoffs. They were 13-3 a few years ago and dropped a turd.

All this is largely meaningless if they just do what they always do and implode in the postseason.
This is the best team that they have had in decades. The last time they had double digit wins back to back they were winning the Super Bowl. Yes we have seen it before.

If you dont like being put in your place, then say something that actually makes sense. Your making it very easy for me.

You don't want me to respond to your posts, learn football.
With that kind of talk he/she should be PMn for invite to view tonight's game together.

I like that . Dak isn’t Elite but he can play Elite.

No doubt he has stretches where he does. As well as some he doesn’t. IMO in order to move up to next level needs more of those Elite stretches on the biggest stages.

And there’s been at least 2 Homers in this thread I’ve seen saying he’s Elite or top 5. I’m sure there’s more out there.

2 is a small amount. inconsequential.

My point was the back and forth debates in reference to the song and the constant lamenting and arguments about him. My actual opinion was that he overall is a very good quarterback. Yes, teams win or lose big games but quatorbacks are generally the biggest difference makers, especially in the playoffs.

Right, wrong or otherwise he will be judged on how well he performs in big games and if the Cowboys win…now that is fact.

I am much closer to a Dak “fanboy” than I am a hater. My daughter even bought me his jersey for Christmas….shhh, please don’t tell anyone:)

Yah, I dont agree with that one about the QB. It just looks that way because of last drives to win some games. Defense is every big as important as offense, even more in some cases. A guy like Mahomes does make a huge huge difference. Same with Allen. These guys are just soo good that it is hard to stop them. But they do get stopped. Like Mahomes scoring 9 points and no TDs last time he was in the SB. For the simple fact that his line couldnt block.

I love where the team is today. Keep posting your nonsense. I really enjoy it.
You poor souls that fall for it every year for no reason are the best lol

They don't even have to work or win anything for your belief. You just give it to them for nothing.

I would put that as 90% of 32 starters, and not include the additional 60 on the bench.
Same goes for NBA players, baseball, etc.
Could even drop it to 80% for all I care.

Lol, what about the ignorant that claimed they were a bad team and would only win 8 games this season?
