I would put that as 90% of 32 starters, and not include the additional 60 on the bench.
Same goes for NBA players, baseball, etc.
Could even drop it to 80% for all I care.

With the way QBs get knocked around I think > 60 players have started games in the league this year.. So you can't just dismiss the guys on the bench.

"Elite" is a vague matter of opinion, so its pretty useless to debate it anyway.
We all have our own thoughts on what is elite.

As for Dak.
I think he's good enough to win it all if you have a very strong team around him.
That's a compliment, imo.

I'll tell you that the Eagles are not going to win. I'd say that it will be either the Cowboys or the 49ers. Why would you think that the Eagles would win without Lane Johnson and Maddox and the unknown of what will happen with Hurts?

No QB wins without a strong team around him.. The whole elite thing is pointless as you correctly state. He's more than good enough to win if the rest of the team doesn't crap the bed around him. That's all we can ask for..

But on your point about all these backups who have had to play.. You're saying you don't consider Mike White, Nick Foles, Andy Dalton, Baker Mayfield, Teddy Bridgewater, or Jimmy Garappolo, to be NFL starters? I mean they are all backup QBs who have had to play when the starter went down. Is 3-0 Brock Purdy not an NFL starter? Cooper Rush? Gardner Minshew? A lot of backups have come in and won games with their teams. Or in a case like Minshew, played pretty damn well. Point being, dismissing guys from the equation because they weren't the opening day starter is far too simplistic.

I don't know that the Eagles will win. I said they are 1 of 3 teams I could see reaching the Super Bowl in the NFC.

I know that the Eagles without their MVP QB almost beat us a week ago.

Lane Johnsons and Maddox's isn't the reason your team reaches the Super Bowl. Jalen Hurts (If healthy) is though.

I think by and large the folks that talk about this subject are people looking for a reason to knock Dak. Very few fans call him "elite". There is no war of words raging with a host of people arguing he is as good as Mahomes. A few might say that, but it's very few.

I will say, however, the needle on "elite" isn't where it was a few years back. There is no Brady/Brees/Rogers group that stand, and have stood at the top of the mountain for years (or decades). Mahomes seems to be the closest to that, but Rogers has slid down the mountain a bit, and Wilson's status as being at or near that level has plummeted. The cast standing with or near the top with Mahomes seems now to be subject to change year to year

unless you have an agenda. lol He found a line he love Dak over Dallas. Really have seen no one who takes Dak over Dallas. Most of us were Cowboy fans long before Dak arrived and will be fans after his career is done.
