The problem i see is "Elite" is in the eye of the beholder, you will never win an opinion argument. Now the fun begins when someone starts laying out the rules for "Elite" at QB....if its by meaning there is only 1 as he is literally in a catagory by himself and the next closest guy is closer to lesser QB's than he is to the 1 Elite QB....I do have fun though hearing about these mythical QB's who "Lifted" bad teams to SB and somehow every one missed it..lol

This forum displays an excellent example of tribalism amongst humans. You’re either a Dak hater, or a Dak fanboy. There is no in between.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone here seriously say he’s elite. There are 2-3 elite QBs in the NFL at a time, and he’s not one of them.

That being said, there’s the other camp that thinks he completely sucks, which isn’t true either.

The reality is in between. Dak is very good for the most part. He struggles with wild inaccuracy at times. He has made some poor decisions on the field. He has infuriated me several times, but also made me scream out loud with incredible plays.

He’s a QB many teams would love to have as their starter, and several would pass on.

We’ve seen this before. They were 12-5 last year and fizzled out in playoffs. They were 13-3 a few years ago and dropped a turd.

All this is largely meaningless if they just do what they always do and implode in the postseason.
Maybe to you. Why invest a second of your time trashing the team and fans if it's meaningless?

But what's the point of dwelling on that instead of enjoying the ride as rambo suggested? Enjoying the ride doesn't require being blind to the fact playoff success is the goal, and there will still be plenty of time to be upset if we don't achieve it.

I don't know that the Eagles will win. I said they are 1 of 3 teams I could see reaching the Super Bowl in the NFC.

I know that the Eagles without their MVP QB almost beat us a week ago.

Lane Johnsons and Maddox's isn't the reason your team reaches the Super Bowl. Jalen Hurts (If healthy) is though.
How do you think the Saints will do with Lane Johnson out? Will they be attacking that right tackle spot? Couldn't that cause some turnovers? How do you think that game will go? Will the Eagles or the Saints win?

I don't see you calling people "ignorant" when they say Kellen Moore stinks.

Why's that I wonder?.....

Dak over Dallas fans are the worst.
compared to those who rather see Dallas lose so they can Bash Dak...

and who are these Dak over Dallas fans you speak of? I literally don't see anyone ever saying that. can you point me to some who have said that?

That's ok let them do what they do. I'll enjoy it big time. Especially, if those guys have egg on their faces at the end.

You have to win regular season games to get to post season DUH
Did you see that he now admits that the Cowboys could win after he claimed they would only win 8 games this season and weren't a good team?

Definitely better

Rodgers
Burrow
Allen
Mahomes
Brady

Widely considered better by everyone outside this fanbase

Jackson
Herbert
Stafford
Watson

Debatable

Murray
Hurts
Lawerence

Only QB i may not take over Dak is Murray and only because hes a horrible teammate

I am bumping Lawrence up… he made huge jumps in his development, and has a lessor team. But he is still finding ways to win.

I’ve attempted to set the parameter or draw the line in the sand that Elite is defined by HOF .

If we can’t agree that HOF inductees are Elite , where do we begin to set parameters beyond personal opinions ?
Actually the HOF is about personal opinion by the voters just look at some who are in and some who are not, bias is trait that influences opinions and votes that’s why many hof’er past and future are a joke.

unless you have an agenda. lol He found a line he love Dak over Dallas. Really have seen no one who takes Dak over Dallas. Most of us were Cowboy fans long before Dak arrived and will be fans after his career is done.

Amen.. I was literally a Cowboys fan for 50 years before they drafted Dak. This absurd notion that people who have loved this team that long suddenly now favor one player over their childhood favorite team is trolling at its lowest. No Cowboys fan is happy to see the Cowboys lose just because one player had a great game in a loss. Yes we can be proud of how a guy or the team battles in a losing effort.. but being happy after the Cowboys lose? I'm afraid I have yet to experience this phenomenon.

To me the "ride" is a big part of the enjoyment. Even when the frustrations and losses seem almost unbearable, that's part of it because that's the nature of competition. You can't compete in anything without risking losses and frustrations, and that goes for fans as well. The competition, and allowing yourself to be stirred by it, is the reason for fandom.

I've always defined elite as being in the 90th percentile at your craft. That means that if there are 90 QBs in the NFL (there's probably more like 100) you have to be in the top 9 to elite to me. I don't think there is much of an argument that Dak gets in under that wire. He's 8th in passer rating, 5th in yards per attempt, 2nd in completion percentage 2nd in TD percentage. 7th in QBR... Oh and his team wins 70% of his starts. That's pretty much the definition of elite QB play to me. The only thing keeping him out of the top 5 IMHO is the INTs but 4 of those have bounced off receivers hands, chest or facemask and at least 4 others have just been receivers not finishing routes. I know that's all part of football but when evaluating a play and a player you have to look at everything.

There is certainly opportunity for Dak to climb into that top 5 discussion if he finishes out the season playing at the level he played against Philly. Two more games like that one oughta do it. Especially if he has a similar performance against Washington. But at the end of the day.. it's about winning. Dak has to guide this team to 5 (or 6) more wins to silence the critics. Yes there will still be some dug in asswipes even if he's standing on the podium in February accepting the Super Bowl MVP trophy.. But there's nothing you can do about those people.. You can't fix stupid.
Lol

I have a good feeling and will enjoy playoffs which will be exciting win or lose.

Lawrence leads the league in lost fumbles.
And Dak is 2 INT away from leading the nfl there (with four less games played)

So if you think Trevor can’t be ranked higher due to his fumbles ( most in the beginning of the season ) then what about Thad’s brother ?
