4th was a high price for what he was. However he is still under contract for two years

I think 80-100 catches over two years is pretty good production for a 4th round pick. Will Mingo get that?
No. He will not make a difference. There was a reason everyone was surprised Dallas gave up so much for him. He has been awful since he was drafted.

Could have been had for a 6th or 7th round pick.

Please. It was Jerry trying to make some noise during the trade deadline for no reason. He felt the cowboys becoming irrelevant for the season so he made this move just to make headlines.
Thank you, pretty much. After all the other wide receiver trades Jerry just had to dip his hand in the fire and got burnt. Another bizarre move that makes zerosense

Where did you pull that out of?

For the record, the Cowboys have always been relevant. And they dang sure don't have to make trades for players like Mingo to make headlines.

A WR averaging less than 10 ypc. Just dreadful. Just another in the long list of awful Jerry Jones trades.

Jones said that fans should keep an eye out, he had something up his sleeve, or something to that effect, the week before the trade deadline.

Maybe 30 catches a season if that. Hard to see it paying off, but hey maybe a few of those catches end up being important plays at some point.

In general the hit rate isn't high on day 3, so hard to get too upset gambling with some young players drafted higher a season prior.

I Imagine The Mingo 4th round Escapade as a source of great mirth and memes.
Nonetheless the lad deserves a chance. Indeed, when you burn a 4th-round pick he better show his worth, any worth.

Hard to tell. We will know better when he plays with Dak and CeeDee next year.
Very fair point, but what we need is a true X receiver an End Zone threat, instead we get is beefed up Tolbert.

The question is going to be, whether Dak is confident in throwing it up for him in contested catches in the End Zone. Surely out vaunted Personnel Dept can find a tall, big bodied target in the 4th Rd.

To be fair we do have YAC. What we're missing is someone who Dak is comfortable finding in the Red Zone situations... personally dont think Mingo is that imposing figure, but Dak may appreciate/trust this muscular 'battler'.

This discussion takes in no account.....absolutely no account, that Cooper was our QB, upon Mingo's arrival. No offense to Cooper, but c'mon. Outside of Cee Dee, we had guys all year with minuscule numbers and production in the WR group. He will get graded early and fairly.....coming soon.
