Do you still hate the 49ers??

I have always hated them and always will. I think the rivalry will come back someday. Just not anytime soon. The last time we met we beat them in their house in comeback fashion. That was cool. I wish those days were back. Even though it's not like it was in the 90's I still despise them. Espiacally since I have a couple of friends who are niner fans and still talk about the catch and the 94 nfc title game. Of course I still remind him about the 92 and 93 title games. And Staubach's comback win in SF I might add in the early 70's. Which for some reason people never mention. I wonder why? But yes I still hate them with a passion.

We beat them three straight times in the playoffs (twice in championship games), so they must have hated our guts too.

Some people are much more forgiving than me. There are very few things I've ever disliked since there are very few things that have ever truly pissed me off, but once I've chosen to despise someone or something, there has never been a time limit involved. Ask me the same question about a person, team, etc. a year from now, ten years, thirty years... Doesn't matter. The answer will remain the same.

I don't think I've ever hated the Niners, not like I hate the Eagles anyway. Maybe it was because I had so much respect for Walsh and Montana.

Now the Eagles, they're a different story. I will always hate them. HATE, HATE, HATE, HATE, HATE! Hate the team, hate the fans, hate their unis, hate their cheerleaders.

They are followed by the Giants and the Commanders, but they don't come close to my hatred for the Eagles.

Did I mention I hate the Eagles. I mean, I really can't stand them.

I've rooted for the Giants and Skins in a couple of their Super Bowls.

I don't root for non-Cowboys teams, but I was sorely tempted to root for the Dolphins, Broncos and Bills during Super Bowls XVII, XXII and XXVI. Still, there have been few times in my life where I've laughed as much as during that 38-9 whipping which the Raiders put on Washington in Super Bowl XVIII. Good times!

I said it back in March but I'll say it again. I DESPISE THEM! I hope they win just enough games to keep them from drafting superstars but not enough to get them to the playoffs.

That said, I do like some of their players from their golden years such as Joe Montanta, Ronnie Lott, Jerry Rice and Roger Craig, even though I hate the team. I still can't stand Young though.

I'm with you. I HATE the 49ers more than any team! They are no doubt #1 on the hate list. Philly is like #1A on the list. Just the view of Steve Young's face makes me want to puke. And every time I hear someone call Bill "I stole Paul Brown's Offense" Walsh a "genius", I go into a rage.

I despised them during the dynasty years, that '94 NFC title game gutted me. I respect the franchise though and have always liked how they played the game of football.

Me and my brother were discussing if we still hate the 49ers. I don't know about you guys but my hatred for them seems to be gone. I know in the 90's and even when Garcia and T.O. were there I still hated them. They were like the 5th NFC east team to me, but now I dislike the freakin seahawks more. I don't even revel in the fact that they are losing like I would the skins or the eagles like I used to in the 90's. now its like they don't even exsist to me.

But to sever your question, it was a lot easier to hate the 40whiners because of the smugness of Montana and Rice, the arrogance of their Genius coach and Carmen Polichi whining about revenue. The DeBartolo family, seemingly always linked to crime figures and the Neanderthal fans and the Lombardinis they acrued. Yeah, definitely hated.

But now I just hate this tread.

They didnt have a run in the 90's... we were this close to 3 consecutive NFC title games.
