They've had their fair share of criticism for their contract, but not as much as Dak.
I agree that Dak has received the most criticism but the RB position is underpaid and Zeke and Lawrence are top 5 at their position. This whole thing almost seems like Dak wants out of Dallas.

If you watch the games he has ability, leadership and great intangibles. He’s a battler who will lower his shoulder taking on defenders to pick up first downs and he doesn’t miss games. He fought through a couple of injuries late last season that kept him out of practice. The stats I was talking about were from last season. You claimed his numbers came against teams with losing records and you were wrong. Two of his most productive games were against teams that were in the NFC title game.

What do you think another team would pay for Dak? You’d be lucky to get a third round draft pick. Is that worth 40M to you?

Ya I know Rockhead and that's why I said in that post, "it's not like we haven't heard this amount mentioned before"...referring to the 40M per season. Then I posted the tweet by Jane Slater from last year.

You couldn't put those two together?
C'mon Rockhead!

People have been trying to tell Rockhag about this for months.
She's a very opinionated and ignorant woman.

She's an old hag in her 60s that sits at home and makes those
annoying phone calls to your home while you're at work.
Her and a few others owe an apology but won't give one.

Coop has had periods when he was the number two receiver for Oakland, as well as periods of times when he dropped some passes.

He had to prove his worth and produce for the Cowboys as well...first.

I initially thought the same, but when I consider they traded away a 1st round pick for him they had already committed. Seems like a half measure to not have extended at this point. As always hindsight 20/20

without Dak we are in another 5 year rebuild mode. Maybe a decade long. Finding a QB is very hard that is NFL caliber.

There's no dog in Amari Cooper. He's got all the talent in the world but no intestinal fortitude to maximize that talent.

Prescott's the opposite. He's got dog in him but no talent. He's the pomeranian getting himself killed attacking a pit bull.

I think Skip Baylees checks the board if not post on it lol. He just mentioned all out wars on Cowboys messageboards over Dak being worth it and this thread and site came to mind.

He would get paid at least what Carson Wentz got and probably more because teams overpay for good QBs. You could get a first round pick and change for Dak. If you don’t think he’s a real solid QB you don’t know football. He’s gotten better every season and hasn’t even reached his ceiling yet. He took 53 sacks in 2018 and only 23 this past season despite 70 more passing attempts than the previous season and he had career highs in passing yards and passing TDs. The arrows are all pointing up with him.

He was a fourth round pick that got to play behind the best NFL OL. He went 8-8 in a contract year in a lousy division. How bout we settle at 20M or 2nd round pick? No way he is first round. No way he’s worth 30M.

He had a career year in passing yards and TDs in a contract year. He was one yard off the franchise record for passing yards in a season. He had three 400 yard passing games and missed a fourth 400 yard passing game by 3 yards. Two of his most productive games were against teams that played in the NFC title game. It certainly wasn’t all on him that we went 8-8. He’s been stuck with a bad head coach and a defense that can’t make critical stops or force turnovers. I’m not settling for anything other than getting him signed. He’s a solid QB that we can win a championship with. He carried us in some games last season. He hasn’t been the problem with this team.
