Does any team draft better than Dallas?

I think we’re solid in round 1, terrible in round 2, and average beyond that.

Trade those garbage second rounders for just solid players and who knows what this team would have accomplished.

Of course, Taco was a pretty wild miss too.

Teams that draft well usually win Lombardi‘s. Practically all their key players are draft picks.
Not with this team. And teams that win Super Bowls make key free agent signings.

Dallas is good at drafting but their strategy is very boom or bust which leaves them with a top heavy roster with a lot of bad pieces and minimal depth. The fact that they do not pay for outside free agents is not really a mark in their favor.

We draft pretty well, but we don’t do a very good job in developing them because instead of leaving the player in their natural position, they have them learn another one for “position flex”; so now they are average at-best in two positions. They also don’t use. FA market effectively to improve the team within a short window.
We build thru the draft which is exhonerously slow; and that’s assuming we hit on our 1st and 2nd round pics…which isn’t always a given.

Coaching has been a big problem and several premium draft picks didn’t panned out. We’ve missed on several number two picks. We just ended up cutting Tristan Hill. Some of the greatest dynasties in the history of the NFL were built in the 70s and 80s before free agency. Great teams are built through the draft. The Cowboys have had their best success by drafting well and making a few key trades. Trading for Charles Haley prior to the 92 season put the Cowboys over the top. I would like to see the Cowboys be a little more aggressive in free agency by targeting some higher tier players.

They just signed Hankins to help the weakest part of the defense and you’re giving up after one game? Some fans just have an agenda or quit easily or both.

Where did I say I was giving up? When it comes to having an agenda speak for yourself. Yours is beyond tiring!

You said earlier that neither the Bucs nor the Cowboys would be in the NFC Championship. THATS giving up.

Well I heard the Springfield Atoms are doing an outstanding job these days. Better than the Shelbyville Sharks too.

I made that comment in another thread. Lol This is the post you responded to claiming I was giving up and below was your response.

I’d like to think that recently they’ve gotten really good at drafting a well rounded team and maybe this will continue for a long time.

Name at least 3 players that have won Super Bowls with other teams

Demarcus Ware, Anthony Hitchens, Mo Claiborne, Damien Wilson, Joey Ivie, Danny Amendola... I could go on but you get the idea.

There are even more who have MADE it to the Super Bowl with other teams but lost.. starting with Chido Awuzie last year.
