Does any team draft better than Dallas?

Most teams are the same....over time. If you take a 3 or 4 year snippet, then stats start to get skewed, but over 10 years or more,...I imagine all teams are right in the same ballpark ...once you factor in average drafting position (i.e. is it really fair to say the Jets and Giants "drafted better" than the Bills last year, when they had multiple top 15 picks and Bills are drafting at end of each round?)

You also have to factor in the QB position when deciding "how well a team drafts".

Meaning.... the Chiefss selection of Mahomes, is 100x more brilliant than Dem Boys selection of Parsons and Diggs combined

Cowboys haven't drafted a cold blooded playoff gunslinger in 30 something years (which is why the organization has been a non -factor since the freaking O.J. Trial.

Dallas roster is mostly made up of their own draft picks. Not simply mediocre players but players that are playing well. What teams draft better?
Yes it is well established that the Cowboys are a good drafting team. It took many years to reach that point and is hard to argue with the recent results.
But lets remember, at a high level it's a three pronged approach.
Drafting, Free Agency, the rest of the stuff ( coaching, FO leadership, culture)
Tell me where would you rank this team over the past 26 years across that spectrum?

Last 4 drafts have transformed this current roster, not mentioning contributing UDFAs, and FA signings.
2019 - Tony Pollard, Connor McGovern, Donovan Wilson remain.
2020 - Lamb, Diggs, Gallimore, Biadasz, remain.
2021 - Entire draft class remains.
2022 - Everyone but Ridgeway remains.
Not saying it has been lights out, but it has been very good especially the last 2 drafts are looking excellent so far.

Don't even remember Claiborne playing, lol- guess he wasn't a key part of that team .
I remember him I want to say there was a few guys if I'm not mistaken. I believe it was Wilson, Hitch and Mo. Miles Austin was also on the 49ers staff that SB as well just for bonus lol.

This proves you don't know what quitting means. The only thing you know more than me about football is how wide the sidelines are.
Being a quitter has nothing to do just about football. If you quit in one arena, like you have, you’ll quit in every arena when the going gets tough. No doubt you’ve quit in other areas of your life like many here have.

Austin - another guy I mostly remember as a Ram. He definitely wasn't drafted by Dallas. Really only D- Ware was a star on a SB winning team after being drafted by Dallas and leaving here. That guy made it sound like there was a slew of former Cowboy draft picks who left to win SB's and there are just a few and only one was a star on those teams.

Charvarius Ward.

Having a team mostly made up of your own draft picks is a lot more impressive when you actually win in the postseason. Otherwise, it's just we like our guys.

Hoping it finally starts to payoff this season.
Depends on who is being graded...

Not McClay's fault they lose...

Miles Austin...Cowboys

Tavon Austin...Rams & Cowboys

C'mon, in many cases, the Cowboys stumbled onto a perennial All Pro. it wasn't an incredible ability to evaluate.

They didn't want five time All Pro and future Hall of Famer Zack Martin. They wanted legendary bust Johnny Manziel.

They didn't want two time Pro Bowler Dak Prescott. They wanted "one and done" Paxton Lynch.

They didn't want Micah Parsons, they wanted a cornerback.

I'm sure there are many more but we'll never find out about it. They have had their share of busts, particularly in the 2nd round.

To be honest, they do draft well and their rookie free agent signings are great too but they are far from the best drafting team in the NFL.

The Ravens, 49ers, Bills, Titans draft well too.
