Does any team draft better than Dallas?

Dallas roster is mostly made up of their own draft picks. Not simply mediocre players but players that are playing well. What teams draft better?
What other teams win more playoff games?
I’d like us to do both.

Dallas' drafting success turned the corner when Bill Parcels arrived in 2003. He taught the front office and scouts what to look for in drafting players. That has yet to leave this organization these past 19 years.

Are they perfect? Of course not. The draft is still a crap shoot. However, when 14 of your last 19 1st round picks have been selected to at least 1 Pro Bowl (where the Cowboys run away with every other team in the NFL), it tells me that this organization has this facet of team building down pretty good.

The blame for the Cowboys not winning a Super Bowl in over a quarter century must go somewhere else. Drafting certainly is NOT the problem.

The pro bowl is absolute garbage so it’s really no surprise when a team with the most fans votes and somehow ends up with the most players. Jaylon Smith made a pro bowl and he had no business even being here or there! So using the pro bowl and individual achievements as some type of gauge in a team sport doesn’t really tell the whole story!

We are not the best overall and through the entire 7 rounds but we've been killing it in round 1 for a Decade. Round one we are the best

If we are so awesome at drafting, then why do we keep losing in the playoffs because we can't stop the run?

Drafting well is more than just taking some good players. There is a ton more to it than that.

Now, if we'd have taken Alim McNeil instead of thug Joseph, then you could start bragging. We beat Frisco in the playoffs w/ just that one little move. The player was there, he was not a secret, the need was there, but NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, Jerry's got to take him some weird project CB. Frustration.

Im a big believer in drafting best player over need. Drafting for need gets you into trouble

Our success in the draft. This team, especially the defense, has been upgraded from years past.

Hype, the Cowboys popularity coupled with the media's perpetual obsession with the Cowboys ends up hyping everyone. Add in the fact that most of their opponents are crap you end up overstating the skill level and then everyone is somehow surprised when they get their arses handed to them early on the playoffs.

Yeah but one could argue that hype actually comes from performance. Diggs and Parsons have earned their hype. Sam Williams seems to be on track to earning his. But yes, I agree with you, this team on a whole is overhyped. Some of it comes from players being picked high in the draft, like Lamb. Some of it comes from big contracts, like Tank's.

I will remain always a fan of the Dallas Cowboys even while I want to see Booger and company take a long walk off a short pier.

I refuse to be satisfied by mediocre results and mediocre fans that celebrate making the playoffs as if that is all that matters.

I will never be satisfied in any season that does not at least get us to the NFC Championship game.

JUST LIKE I WAS WITH THE LANDRY teams.

I refuse to play nice with those wishy washy fans that are satisfied with less.
