Does anyone else think different and better coaching could help Dak?

Many legit dog trainers, with skins on the wall and very good reputations, will balk at trying to "fix" a problem dog which has reached the age of two. It may not be impossible, but by that age the window for conditioning is almost closed and what would have been easy a year prior is now much more difficult. The trainer may get results in the week or two they have the dog, but as soon as that dog goes back to the situation it is conditioned to, those conditioned behaviors will very likely arise again.

In other words, by that age the dog is who it is as far as emotional state and attitude goes.
Sounds only 1 thing you can do . . . Put that Doggy Down . . . Right on the bench next to that guy who is good at Spades

You mean 3 picks against the best team in football on the road? Yeah that's understandable.
I mean Dak had a pretty good day throwing on that team..to be fair. You want to inject Rush in this but literally there is no point Rush is worse than Dak and its really not close. That doesnt change my mind that Dak is not a QB that will carry us past anyone in the playoffs at all but I'm not going to lower my football IQ enough to make Cooper Rush analogies.

No they will not . . . If nothing changes

If there is not an open competition at QB this offseason and preseason then I predict there will be a Cowboy Mutiny and Exodus . . . Mark my Words

Dak turned into Fredo in the Locker Room . . . He is exposed
Yea right… lol

The old football brains don’t think outside of the box but it consistently plays out that the rookie contract is better than paying a guy like Dak.

Heck in a lot of cases the rookie contract is better than an elite QB.

Pay your elite and championship QBs but a guy like Dak will just ruin your Super Bowl chances.
Let’s see on that. It’s probably going to still be the best of the best QBs that are there in the end, but that’s nothing different from recent history.

But I do expect the first round bus driver Kenny Pickett (as an example) with a great team around him to become something of a model due to the lack of high upside QBs and/or the patience to develop them.

Problem is when you reach a certain peak that keeps you in the news and relevant with Pickett type, you have no desire to risk getting worse to get over the hump when you’re Jerry Jones. You prefer to lie to yourself. Decade after decade.

Him and his kid don’t have what it takes to build a winning football team but his ego will never allow admitting that to happen.

He couldn’t even enjoy the win that way. Our only real hope is that the kids ego isn’t as large, but that ship likely sailed long ago.

At this point Im just hoping Jerry is still around to see it when even the most supportive of fans turn on this act.

Coaching matters. People were screaming about how the players just don't execute and coaching doesn't really matter until Dan Quinn came in and completely revamped the defense.

Kellen Moore may be smart, but he doesn't have the experience to really coach up players when it matters and he doesn't have the deep playoff experience to know what to call during crunch time. He's still learning.

What does Mike McCarthy do exactly?

It's hard to win when 2 or your three coaches have either the flaw of inexperience or apathy.
He has #1 Offense on His resume

The bigger point is does it really matter if Dak isn’t enough to take us further than the divisional round of the playoffs .

Well, it matters to us but does it really matter to Jethro . 13 wins and some playoff games he can hype and sell the hell out of.

Unless you pull off the sales job of all sales job's how would you even begin trading Dak, again he has trade value but not with that contract. They have one option unless fire sale is on the table, you change your scheme to help this defense and get Dak back into RPO/PA reads and run the ball, they can accomplish this through a draft and be good with this D...Will it be KM or another OC is the only question.
Yeah,
Ultimately I don't think this QB capable of winning 4 straight playoff games regardless of coach or supporting cast tbh.

But that's me, lol

In other words, would he be a better player or better production under Shanahan or Andy Reid........
That's easy. YES.

Kellen Moore is Jason Garrett 2.0. I call him Kellen Garrett.

Our offensive scheme leaves a lot to be desired. Now its not the worst offensive scheme. But I would love to see the WR separation and YAC of each of the play off teams and also how often a QB had to throw into a tight window. I am sure there are throw Dak wish he had back but any QB can say that. Like the throw to Ceedee when the linebacker Wagner was on him. Hilton was open on the other side of the field. I wonder if they have a "get open rate" for each WR that shows how many times within the play a WR was open. Example the QB had a clean pocket and a wr was open or the QB was flushed out of the pocket almost instantly and had to roll right but the wr to the left was open. Does that really count? Or the QB is running around in the back field to keep a play alive and while breaking a would be sack a WR is open which he is breaking the tackle but then is coverage when the QB breaks free is he considered open? I would love to know if a site tracks that. PFF?

That's some cold hard facts . . .
Actually he had no facts, he claimed i was defending Daks play, which if he read anything i have said is completley false..lol He did attack Dak as a person though which i find strange unless he knows him personally which he said he didnt..

I mean CeeDee did fine, Gallup got his contract because of his #2 performance with Dak...again Dak is Dak but your dislike of Dak does not make this version of Gallup good, he has not been good.
Ceedee as the #2 to Cooper but that is it . . . Otherwise Dak zeroes in on His #1 and that is it

Many a number #2 WR has come here to die

No. McCarthy is one of the best QB coaches in the NFL.

I will say this - Kellen’s playcalling, specifically WR routes is not good at times. So a better playcaller could lead to better QB play.

A better coach however is not going to fix Prescott’s inconsistency, inaccuracy, or boneheaded mistakes. He’s a 7 year veteran.
