Does Jeremiah know what he's talking about? Claims Romo or Garappolo headed to Bears

If you examine his entire career it's not good in cold weather. He was apart of two big losses in December 2008 to Pittsburgh and to Philly in a season finale elimination game. Don't recall the temp but he lost a season finale elimination game to the Giants in New York in 2011.

I was actually at that game (dal@ny) and it was closer to 50 degrees and there was mist/light rain ... not cold at all

Yep, and it's a successful model

Just look at how this model has given us multiple championships in the last 20 years. Why those great players have just flocked to the Cowboys because of how player friendly Jerry is

Franchises like NE and Pittsburgh who don't coddle or overpay for players have nothing to show for their model

Yes, let's keep doing what we're doing because it has been a resounding success

Wake up, players sign where there is more money or where they can win a SB. Period :star:

I don't need to wake up nor any of us on this board. Jerry is not listening to you and he's not going to listen
to us. This guy is a billionaire and he's not making decisions based on what we say.

And he could also be threatened if he tried to go that route. He wants to retire? Fine. Pay back the $5 million you owe in unearned bonus money for the opportunity to walk away from $54 million in future earnings, for a total loss of $59 million.

Have fun working in TV for the next 30 years to try to make up for it!

The Cowboys could never legally withhold any of that money. Romo would walk away from base salaries only.

Besides, its all a mute point as no bottom-dweller team would want to trade for Romo. Consider Cleveland. Their GM knows by the time they build a decent team (2 years minimum) Romo would be gone.

Lol, How many SBs has tony won?
They traded Chandler Jones, Jamie Collins, let Darrelle Revis walk, didn't resign Moss, traded Logan Mankins, traded Richard Seymour

and guys like Chris Long. BMingo, DAmedola, MFloyd keep choosing to go there for practically nothing

Everyone including the players knows the NFL is a business. If players see their fellow players or teammates being mistreated in their eyes and evaluation, they would tend
not to sign with those teams in FA. Players like to leave San Diego for a reason.

Yeah, sure thing. Teams won't sign in Dallas because players don't get whatever they want, waah!

Be serious.

CLE is a QB away from being a playoff team......they have 4 picks in the first 2 rounds and 100m in cap space ........ they will improve quickly...their new regime is showing signs of life

Would you take #33 for Romo?

They could still draft M Garrett, L Fournette, sign Leary to a 50m deal and draft a QB in the second

Of course they could. Go check out Jake Plummer and Tampa Bay if you don't know. If the player retires earlier than the agreed contract terms, they're required to pay back the remaining portion of the signing bonus. That's as "legal" as it gets.

Moot, moot point.

I've never mentioned Cleveland so it doesn't apply here.

You can bet tony will sign with Houston with that defense and being in state
By that logic there is no way Jerry would cut him because Romo would be free to sign

Jerry won't trade him to Houston because that would be making a deal with Houston that could comeback on Jerry if Romo were to lead the Texans to the SB. Jerry doesn't want the Texans being the king of Texas. If Romo is released and ends up in Houston, it's "oh well" because nothing can be done about that it's not like Jerry arranged it via a trade for Romo to be there. If a trade isn't worked out for Romo, he'll be released and will be free to sign with whatever team wants him. If it happens to be the Texans nothing Jerry can do about because Romo can't be kept for several reasons.

And nobody has claimed otherwise. And yet you continue to try to play this card at each and every turn when you don't have a sound, rational point. Give it a rest already. It sounds as ridiculous now as the other 500 times you've said it.

Zero sense going on with this bunch of words cobbled together. Once again, someone trying in vain to make a point only ends up contradicting themselves. All the while apparently not realizing it...

I have several friends that are diehard Bears fans, they have said since midseason that Cutler will be cut and the Bears will target Romo.

All of them would take Romo and our late first for their pick at 3, I can't imagine that happening but it shows the fan base would be happy to add Romo.

If you examine Matt Schaub's entire career, he's in the Top 10 in passer rating among active players.

Which is why I can never understand why you're so hung up on passer ratings. lol

Can you imagine that? They'd be within striking distance of Myles Garrett with one move! A man can dream...
