Does the Mingo trade say anything about the development of Tolbert?

Tolbert was our 3rd round pick a few years ago. I'm assuming they feel he hasn't lived up to take over that #2 WR spot opposite of Lamb to help us in the passing game. Does the trade for Mingo say anything about Tolbert, or more about the depth we have in this WR room?? Please give your thoughts
Have not read through all the posts yet. But it could say something about Brooks. Or Cooks, because is his contract up after this year?

How much YAC can you get running curls??? I mean I saw AJ Brown do it somehow, so I guess it's possible. In his last year he'll have 1203 yards and 11 TD's and we'll end up giving him a new deal
You don't get YAC if you can't get open and have a little space. Tolbert runs lots of routes; he just can't get open.

I think this is part of the offensive scheme. How bad and outdated it is.

Beebe "fell" to us.

JWitt "fell" to us.

I could go on and on.
Yep and then you can't give them credit for Parsons because they traded back. You can't give them credit for Frederick because they might have been able to trade back and get him later. If they end up with good players give them credit. I don't care if they almost did something else, Ill grade them on who they actually selected.

Tolbert sucks. I’ve moved on from him. I was positive about him but not anymore

this is clearly the best answer, stupidly I come up with another useless thread that I already knew the answer to, shame on me!!!!
Don't be so hard on yourself. Maybe just take a year or two (or seventeen) from starting threads and you'll feel good within. And so will we.

Mingo needs a full offseason with us imo but I’m hoping he can be a reliable 2/3 option

No! Tolbert is going to be the #2. Mingo is going to replace Cook.

Havent warched enough Mingo yet to call him a bust but here is Tolbert:
Tolbert's absolute ceiling is a wannabe pre inury Gallup whose primary skill is winning most of the contested catches with dbs draped over him because he lacks separation ability.

And uh, he still ain't nowhere near Gallup's pre injury ability.

Performs at a very low end WR3 level. Because that's what he is.

Sad but true.
