what kind of picks do you honestly think Dallas would "reap" from a Ware trade?

LOL Did someone just compare the Walker trade to anything close that would be gained from a Ware trade?

He's still relatively young, I guess a 2nd, plus a later round, along with a 3rd for Austin. With the second you could land a solid G along with other goodies. Honestly.

I tend to agree. Im aware that no two players are alike and they play different systems but if Mathis can get 20 sacks I have no doubt that Ware can have back to back 15 sack seasons.

LOL it's all about the sacks isn't it?

Id say its about as good of a guage of how a pass rusher playing as any.
Yes, its pretty much all about the sacks.

He doesn't understand how trades, contracts, or football works apparently, wanting to draft a Guard. We have one of the best offensive lines in football EVEN WITH Doug Free at RT and Bernadeau at RG. It's called chemistry and continuity. And youth, too. First time our entire line has been under 30 years old in as long as I can remember.

Yes, that's the only problem. 14 of 15 of them will be "garbage time" sacks just like all 119 of the ones he got before. I read it online on a fan forum.
That's a lot of garbage!
Look, Demarcus already training for next season.

lol I'm not saying they're garbage time sacks. If he's only good for, say, a sack a game and makes no difference on the field outside of the one sack, I don't think he'd be worth keeping on the team.

Well, to be honest, I shouldve read up before I asked a cheeky question like that. Dont when you trade a player you still have the whole contract to deal with by one team or another? So Trading Ware would also be trading his contract, right? No way you unload that and still collect good picks.

Of course that's not the only way to measure performance. There are other things as a DE - setting the edge, pressuring the QB, collapsing the pocket, stopping the run, etc.

The only person that sniffs out more screen passes on this team than Ware is Sean Lee. LeSean McCoy wasn't NEARLY as effective with his cute little cutbacks because of the way an injured DeMarcus Ware set the edge.

Let him get healthy. Let him take it easy in training camp. And unleash him on the league next year. This guy is not done.

Robert Mathis went from 8 to 19.5 sacks in his age 32 season. Never had more than 11 his whole career. Heck, Phillips and Abraham both the best season they had in years. Bruce Smith had 14 sacks when he was 34.
Do any of you guys think its out of the realm of possibility for him to have some sort of a rejuvenating year next year?

What type of numbers you think he will put up next year.

(Yes, in a Cowboy uniform)

He sure the hell better because I don't see Jerry having the balls or brain of a real GM that would move on from him, his recent injury issues, and his bloated contract (that he has already said he will NOT cut). The New England's, Baltimore's, Pittsburgh's, etc................would cut him. That's why they've been more successful lately than Dallas has.

I seriously doubt Ware will get cut or take a pay cut. I dont really care in this case. Id like him and Carr to do some sort of restructure. Im not too savvy with the contracts and salary cap workings. However, I dont think the Ravens much more impressive. I know that Suggs is probably overpaid more than Ware without the prior impressive numbers that Ware has delivered. Flacco and his contract are almost laughable... I think they have some big guys coming into the market as well. Pitta and Jones?? Anyway, yeah, the Cowboys situation does suck.

Done for a couple of years?

In 2012, he had 11.5 sacks, 5 forced fumbles, and 4 tackles for a loss. That obviously is not someone who was "done"

at this stage, I would love to see that out of him
