nothing. She just happened to pop up on my tv on nfl network. She is gorgeous.

I think her music is unlistenable, but damn, she is hott.

She looks better right now than she did in smoking aces, a movie by the way that was awful.

Beauty trumps talent in this case...

that was still jimmy's team and you know it. you single out 3 players but forget to mention the 3 on offense that had a bigger part of our success in those years

The 3 on offense

Irvin was here before Jimmy

Aikman was not Jimmys choice he wanted Walsh to start

Smith was drafted because a scout jumped on the table for him after Jimmy failed to get I forget 2 or 3 defensive players first

yes i understood what he said. which just backs my point of how jimmy was the brains behind the glory of the 90s. i changed my name cause i'm not a fan of a player who got his money and gives up(roy). now ask me again about by screen name:rolleyes:

Jerry played a role in the Walker trade and other draft day trades that allowed us to acquire many players that played a role in the Cowboys three Super Bowls in the 90s.

My point did not really reinforce your's at all. It was more like saying your argument was pretty faulty.

you give jerry way to much credit. he was great pre-salary cap because he could buy all the good players he wanted like steinbreiner. .

Rampage;1935013 said:
he could have been but jimmy already put everything in place for him.

See gents this is what happens when you just start hating on someone for no reason, you say something stupid, get called on it and have no comeback except "he sucks"

kinda like your post in which i never said "he sucks" yet you qouted me as doing so.

The "he sucks" was not a direct quote of you it was a summary of what you said. Are you denying you think he sucks as a GM? Did you not mean it when you said how terrible he was?

I know you are getting confused bud but lets not play semantics

All I know is while it lasted Jimmy and Jerry were able to produce winners. Jimmy alone did not have great success. He took over a Miami team in 1996 who had gone to the playoffs the year before and yet missed the playoffs in Jimmy 1st season all in all Jimmy went 36-28 in Miami. Also Jimmy was hired not only as HC but as the GM of the Dolphins so he had full control and yet was not able to do in Miami what he was able to do while in Dallas. No doubt Jerry would spend this same time trying to prove himself and making mistake that hurt the team. I do think Jerry has learned from these mistakes and in 2002 how we conducted the draft and FA started to change for the better. Granted we are still not where we want to be but in my opinion this team is on the right track

Since I guess 12 years isn't long enough, exactly how long do the Cowboys have to go without winning a playoff game before some people maybe consider the idea that Jerry's not a great GM? 15 years? 20 years?

I don't want long winded posts ... just a number.

hate on! i don't think he sucks but he's a poor gm and needs to step down and hire a gm.

Given that the 12 years was preceded by 3 Super Bowl wins, I think he's got a good bit of leeway, though I don't suppose it'll be much longer until he surpasses this arbitrary standard anyway.

3 Super Bowls. There's a number.

Given that such phenomenally run organizations as the Saints, Commanders, Cardinals and Raiders have won playoff games since the last time Jerry has, I would say leeway hasn't been a problem.

It will be irrelevant when we win a playoff game next year. Of course it's a guess, but so is implying that we will go 15 to 20 years without a playoff win.

I like my odds.

There probably won't be any more hirings until after the superbowl since both Jerry and Wade Phillips are at the superbowl. This is what they said on espn 103.3

and just when i thought we had progress.

do you not recall jimmy himself saying in what turned out to be shulas last year that the dolphins SHOULD WIN the superbowl? they didn't, shula out jimmy in. jimmy never won it either.

I do recall Jimmy saying that. I recall the Dolphins hadn't sniffed a SB since 1984 and Jimmy wanted that job and made that comment to make Shula look bad. The Dolphins only won 9 games I believe in '95, Shulas last year, they were no where near a SB.

I also recall Jerry making the quote in my sig. Jimmy made the decisions (recommendations) and Jerry concurred (rubberstamped them) every time but once or twice in five years.

Only a fool would think Jerry was the preeminent decision-maker in those days who built the SB teams. But, I'm sure you don't think this.

I love the way you guys try to act like Jimmy was clueless and Jerry was the brains behind the operation. It's like freaking bizarro world around here.
