I completely agree!...windward;1931163 said:He's certainly a very nice man and I hope he gets some share of redemption in Dallas. It would make for a great story.
Neither can I...miamicowboy21;1931192 said:I would love for us to add Capers. I really wanted Mel Phillips for secondary coach, but if Campo is the man that will be sufficent. I love taking all these former dolphin coaches and bringing them to dallas. I tell you down here is getting unbearable. They think the holy trinty just hit Miami with parcells, Ireland, and Sparano. Everyone knows parcells is pulling the strings and ireland and sparano are just puppets. Man I can't wait until they flop.

Can't believe there are only 4 guys left.

Just odd why we are working towards the '09 staff now.

Once again, I applaud the Cowboys front office, and Jerry in particular, for doing due diligence and trying to do what is best for the Cowboys. Dom Capers is a very respected defensive coach, and I have no doubt that he would be an asset to this team.

Now that's a Defensive staff upgrade.
Capers would be a great hire.

When Dick Vermeil first came back to coaching with the Rams he hired 9 former NFL Head Coaches on his initial staff. Some of them had been complete flops. A couple of them had been out of coaching for a few years. At first I wondered what he was doing. Then when I started to see how good the Rams got in such a hurry I knew.WoodysGirl;1931322 said:If you look around the league, the trend I've seen is former head coaches and coordinators becoming position coaches. I'm not a huge fan of Capers, but then I watched him in Houston for four years.
Anyway, I like the way Wade is doing things. He's surrounding himself with experienced guys, doesn't matter if it's Campo or Capers. He's obviously looking for guys who can see whole picture versus their one piece of the pie. I like the approach.
